Oi you two stop bickering and get back to laughing at Arsenal. Have a listen to this!

?????

Ordinarily you'd have to say they have the money and players to turn it around

But a scenario where they don't isn't in the realms of impossibility

If they rush to appoint a manager who is pretty crap, don't use the transfer window wisely and struggle with that list of fixtures, then they might actually be in a genuine relegation battle

Pretty incredible all things considered

It’s not exactly a list that if I were an arsenal fan and I looked at it that I’d want x, z or z. None of them really appeal to me if we were in their position (excluding Poch obviously). So glad we acted fast and got Mourinho.

It's at times like this you appreciate Levy because whilst we have made some bad decisions regarding recruitment, at least he plans ahead to ensure we don't end up in a mess like this.
We are in a mess like them. Maybe not quite as bad (yet) but we are in a fkin bad way and way off the top 4.
We're playing utter shite and leaking goals, have 3 or 4 players who dont give a shit and now we're told no new players in January window.
Its gonna take some drastic changes from JM to turn this around imo.

We're in a much better place than them imo. Yes we only have 1 more point but we went into this manager change with a plan and executed it perfectly. They shit the bed about a month too late and put a guy in charge who (as far as I know) has never even coached a senior first team. And they have no idea who they want as their next manager. At least we have the stability and the security of having one of the most decorated managers around in place, with his own team, working on the squad's problems. Arsenal are, at best, treading water.

Remains to be seen whether appointing JM was a good idea or not. Both squads have been managed so poorly its embarrassing.

My Arsenal supporting mate said that we're in great shape and only really need a couple of players to challenge and I think he's right. If you compare the current infrastructure to theirs we are miles ahead, the club structure and current setup is on another planet to Arsenal's. I think you're just being overly negative tbh.

Time will tell but I'd rather have him on board than a) trudge on with Poch (the way things were going, we probably wouldn't have beaten West Ham or Bournemouth) or b) sack Poch and just be in a state of limbo like them up the road are.

Yeah I agree something had to be done as we were going nowhere fast.

I probably am to be fair. Just annoyed we've let things get in this state when it could and should have been easily avoided.

Nothing is guaranteed. We might well end up having as disastrous a season as them when the dust settles. We'll have to see what JM can do with the players and if DL appoints a DoF/technical director etc wrt transfers.

We have, however, given ourselves a much better chance of avoiding that outcome with our moves imo.

Parallels Anyone?

Rednapp (Legend) ---> AVB (Flop) -----> Sherwood (Short Term Ex player) ----->Poch
Wenger (Legend) -----> Emery (Flop)---> Freddy (Short Term Ex Player) --------> Poch?

Oh shit...

Or back in the real world, the “support” is fucking toxic and has been for years. You ran your legendary manager out of town by your toxicity. Ran emery out of town and left a club legend with a squad full of egos infected by said toxicity. Wanna fix that up? Ban AFTV for a start

Robbie has done a few videos regarding what you are saying now, accusing anyone who criticises it as 'jealous' 'threatened' or 'hypocrites'.

But you are absolutely spot on. It's damaging the club and they can't see it or are just too happy to see the cash roll in.

I know a few goons fans who absolutely hate it, they hate it because they know other fans get kicks out of it and despite what Robbie says about fans just 'getting their opinion out' the majority of those who watch it are either Arsenal fans who live far far away or non-Arsenal fans.
Yet AFTV is so insanely viral and filmed in and around the Emirates that it has managed to infect the squad for years

They'll end up with Sam Allardyce...

...you wait

???
Just the sort of appointment they need to stop the slide and see them through safely until the end of the season. But then they will need a younger Manager to take over for next season. Fat Sam may be up for it if the money is right.
