We should seriously try absolutely everything to get Mislintat. If there's any chance at all it would be a total game changer for our recruitment.

While I agree with you, I'm in two minds about it because Poch seems to not want a DoF/Head of Recruitment type guy and at the moment the most important thing we can do is keep Poch happy.

Yeah I see that. I would at least hope DL would get Poch and Mislintat in a room to have conversation about how it might work, and see how that went. Given Mislintat's reputation as not only a talent spotter supreme, but also someone who can get deals over the line -- I find it hard to believe Poch wouldn't see the attraction as long as he had final say on all ins and outs. Let's face it, there's a lot of room for improvement on the current structure failing to land all of Poch's targets, over and over again. and given how preoccupied DL is with the stadium, does he really have the time and energy for the transfer market?

Mislintat said when he joined Arsenal that he saw himself living in London for 10 - 12 years, so it might be a possibility. And to 'Arnesen' the Scum would be glorious.

Yeah I would be very keen for him to join. Long-term it would be a massive boost for us especially. As you say it would need Poch's approval first though.

Interesting article .. Guardian online, by Goonerette Amy Lawrence ...

The fact that you can be almost 30m worse off by making the EL semis (compared to last 16 of CL) is crazy. Understandable, when you look at the relative profile and participants, but little wonder it isn't usually a priority for PL clubs. Bit about the reserves not reflecting what is actually available was interesting too. All in, another few years of Kroenke plus no CL, and they could be in a right state.
