Can’t help but feel really sorry for Jesus. He’s not long come back from an ACL has he?

Good news in that they won't be able to sell Jesus and get their money back. He's effectively worthless now.
But bad news in that they're now likely to replace him rather than continue to persevere with a limited player who can't help them make that final step in challenging for a title.

Say what you like about Arteta but he's not concerned about playing pretty football to appease the fans. He's happy to be defensively solid, grind teams down and be cynical at set pieces. If they also add a striker who can put away half-chances then they become a far more dangerous animal than the current set-piece FC

Yeah but they're going to buy a striker anyway. Jesus generally plays wide for them these days. This just hits their funds as they're never getting the 50m back they dropped on him, nor the 10m a year or whatever they're paying GJ

I know people are saying they could go for Muani but Arteta is very stubborn with profile of striker he wants. In the summer they couldn't get him isak and he wouldn't compromise on another striker so they signed merino instead. Given their injuries he may have to compromise a bit I'm skeptical whether they'll go for him.

Why don’t they go all out for Vlahovic? Would be gutted if he ended up there.

It was a real shame Ben white was injured for Sunday's match. I'd have loved to have seen his flouresent orange face against that all white kit. He could have doubled up as a fucking lighthouse.

It's a shame there are some real options available to them. I don't think any of Gyokeres, Vlahovic or Isak are really out of their reach sadly. Isak would cost an absolute bucket load but if they spent £100m on Rice then there's every chance they do upwards of £120m on him.

Yeah, I honestly don’t know why they haven’t on any of those guys. As you say they’d have to stump up £120 mil plus but they did that for Rice almost and this is for a goal scorer, arguably the most important player on the pitch.
