It actually showed me something different. It showed me that this league is full of distinctly average football teams. Teams that play a "system" that is very defensive in mind. The game showed a lack of quality from 2 of the supposed better teams in the league.

Agree on this, there are a lot of very average teams and Arsenals relative success / improvement over the past two years she’s been based on being defensively consistent and seeing a big uplift in conversion of set pieces.

We on the other hand have changed to be more exciting in possession but too chaotic defensively.

It’s that age old footballing problem Benitez put so nicely

There is no such thing as the perfect tactic but I would rather watch us play the front-foot football we’re trying than the stuff we saw under Jose & Conte
