Arteta has just spouted about players playing too much and he thinks their mental health will be effected.
OK, I get the thinking there are too many games these days and it may well hinder them.
But, this comes from a manager who said Saka was injured most weeks and HE STILL played him pretty much every week!
Hypocrite of the highest order.
Arteta tries to sound smarter than he is. There are a lot of issues he should not speak on and he does.

I’m certain with a different manager they would have won the league this year. I just cannot get the hype of Arteta. I refuse to believe the players buy into his team talks. The assistant coaches must be top notch.
He’s clearly a top manager and his players are giving everything for him. Watch them play, they run to death for him, way more than half our players run for ange.
He’s building a very strong side and will get back heavily again this summer, they’re linked with very impressive talents and will get even further ahead of us.

What Arteta has done extremely well is how they are set up off the ball. They're probably the best team in Europe out of possession. They concede fewer chances against than anyone. It makes them deathly boring to watch but it's all about control and containment. I read something about how this level of control has reduced their number of injuries because their players rarely have to make recovery runs and that makes a lot of sense.

Thing is they will spend big again this summer, once they buy a 100m number 9 their team is very complete. It's only really Guardiola standing in their way given the state of the league. Ages though if they spend another 200m and win nothing he's on thin ice.
I'm not sure they can spend big as Arteta had already maximised a lot of it and they were close to the line according to the Swiss guy. Maybe the CL money allows them a striker but they had to loan Raya and they'd need to pay for him too.

Also, you are not taking into account the rise of others.

I felt Spurs were primed for a title but City got stronger, Klopp turned Liverpool into a force

Yeah cause all if those players are HIS.

When he did have players he inherited, they weren't working as hard for him.

They won’t keep doing it either. He’ll get one more season out of the group before they tail off or look for moves elsewhere because they’ve had enough of the plonker.

You're correct according to the below which I read earlier. They'll probably need to sell Jesus, Ramsdale and Partey to cover their spending.

Arsenal have to sell before they can buy this summer due to FFP. The Gunners published their annual report for the accounting year which showed that they made a £52.1m loss, up from £45.5m the previous year.

The Gunners were one of the biggest spending clubs during last summer’s transfer window, buying Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber for a combined £208m.

Arsenal have posted combined losses of £204.9m since 2020-21. They paid Brentford £3m to loan David Raya this season and have reportedly triggered a £27m buy option in that deal to make his move permanent in the summer. The loan to buy arrangement was made in order to comply with FFP rules.

The North London club have been linked with summer moves for both Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimarães but with the latest financial figures it’s hard to see how they would fund any big money deals this summer.

Which article is this from? I can definitely see them selling Ramsdale and Partey this summer. Not sure about Jesus. Think they would rather sell Nketiah as that’s pure profit.

They want 35m for Smith-Rowe who has played about 8 games in 2 seasons.

hope some twats don't pay it.
Aren’t they after similar from Fulham for Nketiah as well? Urgh, will be annoying if they get almost £70m for those 2 that they can put towards a good striker.

Nkeitah is a good player, probably worth 20m for a club like Fulham. Smith Rowe on the other hand is average, I can't see anyone pay that sort of money for him.

People talk about Chelsea, but how are Arsenal still spending, they must be in trouble with FFP.

I can see them selling those 2 and going after Alvarez at City or Osimhen. Would be really annoying as yet again they would be clearing our some crap and upgrading a key position.

You've said it yourself but you are ignoring the fact that neither club have spent anything on anyone. You are assuming because the press are linking them to XYZ they are spending a fortune on players. Lets just sit back and watch how all this plays out before we start shouting the rules mean nothing.

I'd imagine a lot of deals being touted by journalists right now won't happen until the next accounting year starts and/or until players are sold. I'd also imagine the majority of these touted transactions won't happen at all.

I think they are. Isn’t that part of the reason they signed Raya on loan rather then buying him last season? If they did it would have got them in trouble.

That’s also why they appear to be trying to sell Nketiah and Smith-Rowe. As that helps more for FFP or PSR

Sometimes you think maybe your opinion of a player and his antics is driven by a bias against his team but this isn't one of those times...

This seems to be a football-wide view of Saka.

Yes, it is because It's hard not to notice if you watch a lot of the games or even the highlights. It's not just a social media thing. People have very much caught on. If he has a good game, no limp at all. If he doesn't, he has a limp with the severity depending on how bad he was in the game. It's ridiculous.
