Hard luck lads. If feigning injuries, diving, cheating, moaning about every decision, playing that shite song, and ignoring credible sexual assault claims doesn't win you the league, you wonder what will.

£250m for 5 extra points and the same position in the table. Although tbf Levy would look at that and take it as vindication of his methods.

Genuine question but has a manager ever spent as much as Arteta and not won the league?

It was never about the winning, it was about the friends they made along the way.... So still shit.

I hate them as much as the next spurs fan but you have to admit they are progressing. They are staying competitive with City and spending significantly less.

Arsenal, significantly less money? Don't think so.

Last 5 years under Legohead...

Arsenal £560m Vs City £330m.

Including salaries? City can pick up players like Haaland for under market value and pay them astronomical wages. Arsenal are shopping in broadly the same market as us, salary wise.

They spend approx 30% more on wages than we do, so that’s not strictly true either.

Clean sheets and a clean up team needed at the Emirates. Should be our equivalent of St. Totteringham's day.

They are definitely spending money but I am not convinced they aren’t being outspent by City as a whole. It’s hilarious that they are ending the season empty handed - my broader point is that they are showing that teams can be competitive with City even if they don’t have the same financial firepower.

I get your point, and it’s something that Arsenal fans I know constantly spout on about, but the facts don’t really back that up over the last couple of years. Their wage bill is closer to city’s than ours is to them.
I know it’s a simplistic way of looking at it, but on financials alone, they are pretty much where they should be, not the “plucky well run underdog v’s the evil oil state” that many of thief fans would like you to believe.
