This is good news. I don’t think Arteta is playing mind games here. I genuinely think he’s running Saka into the ground. Let him carry on playing him, don’t want him being rested now and fully recovering. Fingers crossed he breaks down soon and the fans turn on him when their golden boy is out for 3-6 months.

How is this different to Ange playing Son?
Saka has been limping the last 4 games, he’s had to come off after 30 mins last game, Arteta tries to play him 90 mins every game unless he literally can’t walk, he’s clearly pushing him beyond what he can do and he’s going to break.

It’s pretty funny tho

They'll run him into the ground (Saka) and then say he can't go on the international break.

remember legohead tried to get partey to get back on the pitch when he was broken against us, it's the same thing. he has no plan B and isn't a good manager at all.

...he's just got a load of photocopied tactic notes that he quickly ran off before leaving City :cautious:

It does appear that Arteta is more than willing to chance serious injury for his key players rather than rotate and give them a break. I can kinda understand it because their squad outside of their first team is not at the same standard but he is taking a major risk and it doesn't suggest he really cares that much about his player's welfare.

He'll play then be withdrawn from the England squad.

I don’t have a problem with that TBH. But it will eventually piss off the player if there is a risk of losing his place in the starting 11 (for Eng)
