I’ve gone full circle on this game now. After our performances so far this season (especially Newcastle) and all Poch’s negativity I have been expecting the worst.

The injury news has not helped either, added to that all this nonsense about Poch leaving has seemingly led to everyone now expecting us to get beaten.

I reckon this will get our backs up a bit and a few players will feel like they have something to prove. That can bring the best out of us like in the cup v woolwich last season... so I’m now weirdly optimistic and looking forward to the game!

Bring it on - we still have some great players and think we can get a performance out of them tomorrow ?

Last season’s fixture has me fearing the worst for this, that’s even without taking into account our horrendous league form in 2019. I’ll be glad when this one is over personally.

Considering how early in the season it is, this is a massive game for so many reasons.
A good performance is a must.

Maybe it's just because I don't expect much but IMO I really don't think it is, other than for obvious reasons of it being a NLD and wanting 3 points. We haven't hit our stride yet at all, we're currently struggling offensively and defensively, we're plagued with injuries already including two of our new signings, our new players aren't bedded in and only one of the three have even started a game, there's question marks over Eriksen still with the window open, there's allegedly some sort of unrest behind the scenes with some and we don't know what's going on with our best CB at the club who's yet to play.

Regardless of the result tomorrow there's so many areas in which we can and hopefully will improve in. We're very far from our potential peak form for the season when you consider those factors.

We are going to have to pull our finger out tomorrow if we want to climb back up that table

People talking about how this is the biggest NLD in years??? Why?

Because they are love island watching kardashian adoring drama queen ponces?

Last seasons league cup game was bigger, as was the fixture at the Lane where Hugo saved the pen. No such thing as a pivotal game 4 games in to the season! Not so long ago nobody would even show the league table until 6/7 games gone

Exactly, apart from social media 'banter' about what colour North London is for a few months, there's fuck all riding on it.

You two need to have a beer together. I want to referee.
@Gb160 he does like me but I piss him off because I speak out and no you would not want to referee once I had a few beers, I would be slagging off west ham too much and I know how much you like them :ROFLMAO:

This week has been worse than when we lost the champions League for me. Not sure why, but our performance against Newcastle and this game on the horizon means I just can't see a way we will perform at all. I hope to god we get our mojo back somehow tomorrow, but if we follow our pattern of the last 15 league games then it will be another one to forget.
