Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been forced to make an unprecedented kit change for this season’s North London derby after a Premier League ruling.

WALOB, the kit colours are pretty much the same as they've been for donkeys years, why is it now a problem?

This makes me really sad.

I want the visual of those vile red shirts as I hurl abuse at the tele

All to sell a couple of away kits. I hate what they’re doing to football

Absolute nonsense - If it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it.

Other than trying to sell away shirts, what’s the reason behind the change ?

We play in white shirts blue shorts and white socks.

They play in red shirts white shorts, if they have white socks, change them to red socks .

When we play at their place if they have white socks ours should be blue - what’s wrong with that ?

Where’s the kit clash in that description and appearance ? Absolute nonsense.

Simple , keep it simple and don’t mess with what’s worked for years and decades.

Our kit will always be better than theirs and that’s that - end of debate.

We have way more blue in our kit than usual. No player will be confused.

Any player who even remotely gets confused or mistaken with our respective home kits shouldn’t be playing professional football and officials should be allowed to be refs or assistants if they can’t decipher the obvious differences between the two kits.

Socks 100% have to be different colours, if that waa their problem I'd completely understand it.

I remember us wearing our black/grey away kit at their place around 2013.
I don’t think there’s much more white on their shirts this season than usual.

That was not their problem though. Arsenal’s home kit socks are red, ours are white. Having looked at them both, there is no way they could possibly be mistaken. So there would be no need to change them, sometimes when their home kit has white socks we wear blue ones which is a common sense solution.

Apparently the reason relates there being too much white in their kit. I have to say, I’m nowhere near convinced of that argument about their shirt colours. That’s why the justification for this change doesn’t stand up to realistic scrutiny in my view.

This is 100% Arsenal’s fault. I noticed this during one of their games this season.

If you look at a player in their home kit completely side-on it looks like an Adidas Tottenham kit from the late 90s. It’s white and blue all down the sides and the Adidas 3 stripes are blue.

Arsenal have vaguely similar colours in their 2nd and 3rd kits as we do, so why do we have to wear our third kit of black and them their blue one ?

It doesn’t make any sense when the article says both teams have to play in away kits.

I double checked, and that is factually wrong.

They will use their away kit this weekend, and we will wear one of our away kits in the reversed match.

It’s silly though: with different colours on shirts and socks, there’s no way you are not able to distinguish players from the two teams (and if uncertain: the one that looks like a right twat is from that other lot). If unable to see the difference, your eyesight is not fit to be a match official at PL level. Or any level, tbh.

PGMOL are making themselves look like totally out of touch with the game itself and its fans. Again.

This is nuts, I was asking why they weren't playing in red yesterday but never imagined it was for this stupid reason.
