If WBA are getting Diallo, then Deeney or King would make sense.

Odd thing is, he was hinted from the off as Jose’s first pick, but Napoli now seem very keen to sell and all of a sudden we’re out of the picture. Have we backed off because someone else is now available, or perhaps another club has come in for him. My fear is the purchase of Bale and Reguillon has blown our budget without addressing the areas we actually needed.

I get we’re all panicking, and the lack of links is definitely concerning. But I honestly believe this last week of the window is going to be like nothing we’ve seen before.
The combo of big clubs panicking at not performing well is going to lead to huge deals (Sancho, Ruben Dias etc.), and then other clubs realising their poor start means they need to cash in quickly on assets before they get in financial trouble (Celtic and Benfica missing out on CL etc.)
There will be huge movement this week, and let’s just see what shakes out.

I'm holding out that Vinicius will be the one.
Benfica may now not need to demand a big sum for him after they got a big sum plus a CB for Dias. They may be happy with 30m, although whether we are is another matter.
He's certainly surplus and Benfica may now be able to strengthen in other areas with his sale.

Benfica still need to sell, I don’t think Dias’ £50mil is enough to balance their books. He’s who I think we’ll go for too. And the ITK seemed pretty clear he was high up our target list too.

The documentary clearly shows Levy and his cronies going on about the last week being when everything happens. We may not like it but there is reason to have faith that this next week will see us at least get that striker and maybe a centre back if things align nicely. If ours just a striker still feel it’s been an exceptional window.

Yeah at this point I could live with just getting a striker, anything else would be nice. Striker is essential.

If this truly off the table now, sad as I was juts getting onboard. Videos online don’t show him as a great finisher, but I do think he has decent movement and linkup play.
