but yeah, he's not going to walk away on the approximately 40 million left on his salary.
It depends on the club.
We can't offer big wages for players to sit on the bench like Chelsea, united and City (Liverpool as well?)
Others might join to sit on the bench and still pick up cups and maybe leagues, again not something we have been able to achieve.
But Kane be a factor as well. We all know he plays and wants to play every match. And there won't be many players coming in thinking they can take his spot.
In terms of wages, we paid Llorente 100k and he hardly played. Presumably beacuse starting him required us to change our game plan completely, which Poch clearly was unwilling to do.
Not having a pop at you, mate - but the general notion of getting a ”backup” CF who will just sit on the bench all the time is somewhat misleading IMO. Whereas Kane will always be first choice for our most important games, a new CF would still get plenty of games. And it does not have to be a world beater either, just someone who is decent enough (with the right attributes) so that we do not have to change our game plan too much (eg like Origi at Pool).
At some point Kane will need to realize that playing every minute of every game will result in a three-month injury layoff every season. He will get more games (and goals) in total if he learns to manage his fitness by getting regular rest.

Milik at risk of Odemwingieing

what is Peter up to by the way ? Deadline day is approaching ....
Milik is a number 1. We have no idea how he will perform with less game time. By the way prices have been mooted (not that any are necessarily true), and the idea of loan and then buy so we pay a higher price overall, makes no Levy sense. He is free in a year and surplus to requirements. Napoli are trying to get as much as they can for him (cannot blame them - Levy'd do the same).
I expect as he will go somewhere where there is more guaranteed playing time.
The player we should be concentrating on (and there have been rumblings) is Seferovic. Two years ago, really great numbers at Benfica as number 1 striker. Last year Vincinius (who we will not pay out for) came in and took the number 1. Seferovic performed well as a back-up. He's 28 (perfect if Parrott will be ready in a year or 2), really composed on the ball, quick and knows how to find space. Also, unlike most on our squad, can head the ball. Price would be reasonable. Finish off with Skriniar and get him in.
Could not agree with this more.Seferovic is shit.
