This French journo said the same last night. From what I remember, he was fairly reliable during the Ndombele saga
Could easily be Osimhen's agents floating that out. I have a hard time believing we'd spend 60mil on a backup striker.

Bouhafsi saying we're trying to maybe hijack the Osimhen deal. How do we have the money for that?

I'm very skeptical we are involved in this any more than just a name Napoli or Osimhen's agents are using to try and get a move on the deal - especially if as the Journo is saying a new agent for Osimhen mucking up the fees then Osimhen's people just want some more money. Really don't think there is anything to see here.

Lille are in the business of buying young talent and flipping them for huge profits.

And no one is paying 30 mil for either of them.

We declined 30m for lamela from lazio last season ... Also napoli bid 35m for moura last season as well... We declined ...

Players like lamela, aurier, moura still has value for many european clubs and they would certainly snap them given chances ...

Doubt that.

Whilst I have no doubt it won’t happen, think it would be possible if he was a guaranteed starter.

apparently he was the one mourinho wanted, he's young and there is the possibility that Could be worth a lot more in the future, which appeals to levy and judging by last year with Pépé Lille don’t seem to mind being paid in low instalments.

Maybe if we are looking to play with 2 upfront more often there would be more of a chance of splashing out on him and enticing him to join?

Here’s the key possibility. Many times we’ve heard players don’t want to come to play second fiddle to Kane, but if we stick with the (sort of) 4222 we played the other day, a second forward becomes more secure on minutes.
Would also make Eze viable on that narrow left handside. Two lowblock CM’s, two narrow attacking midfield players, should free up the wing backs, and with two to aim for.... could also suit Dele, though not sure it’ll suit Ndombele.

Fabrizio Romano saying Osimhen is one step away. Back to fingers crossed for Milik.

It was a flat 442 straight out of the 90s.

Pace out wide, all rounders in the middle, two centre forwards.

If we were genuinely interested in Osimhen as alluded to in Jan and have since made a late attempt to sign him then going after Milik makes no sense. Osimhen is very fast and can play across the front 3 whereas Milik is a target man who runs in treacle. You would think if Osimhen is no a go that we would pursue someone else in a similar ilk.
