Seems more likely he is signing a new deal and this article is wrong. Been discussed in the youth thread. As for whether he is any good, he isn't that highly rated by youth watchers but Poch appears to like him.

This would suggest Walkes has not been released at all.

Whoever wrote the article on Football Insider doesn't know how the FA Registration updates work. Just because he's on that list doesn't mean he's been released - loans out of the country are always shown as contract terminations.
