Ange Postecoglou has said some of the criticism he receives is offensive, personal and disrespectful. The Tottenham manager, whose attack-minded tactics have been questioned – most recently after Thursday’s 4-3 Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Manchester United – wonders whether this is influenced by his Australian accent or the disdain he shows for established practices.

Ange. This isn't particularly difficult to work out, consider the IQ of a somewhat overweight, pissed up chav shouting "you fat bastard" to an athlete.

(I apologise for any offence caused to SC members)

Part of life as a football manager Ange. Please don't let this issue get boring.

Any one who listens to the bbc/sky pundits and takes the seriously must have a mental issue. Gary Neville was an average player made good by Fergie, Shearer was a good striker but a complete bully of a player, would not get away with his elbows in this day and age. Fair play to Ange for speaking up. Neville makes me laugh, his high brow analysis of the game, how long was it he lasted in Spain? Oh and Carriger, who was it spat in the face of? Absolute jokers the lot of them, tbf the only one I have time for is Keane, and he was a lot of shit as manger too.

I think people need to learn to take the good comments with the bad. Under Poch, Neville loved us. He was always praising us and urging Levy to make those final signings to turn us into winners.

If all we want is people praising us then maybe turn the volume off. The criticisms we get are justified. It's why we aren't top 6. The whole league is stumbling bar Liverpool and we aren't capitalising. And if you listen carefully, they do say Levy needs to get players that are good enough for the system to work.

I would be amazed if people wouldnt want Ange to just sit back for 10 mins to take the sting out of the game when we are 2-0 up, and start picking off teams on the counter. We are good enough to hold onto a 2-0 lead.

And if anyone can listen to the detailed analysis I saw from Carragher a couple weeks back after the Chelsea game and say it didnt make sense or have merit, what because they have a different viewpoint(?) (which may have some valid points), is possibly a person that cannot accept any viewpoint other than their own.

The indignation about pundits is tedious enough, surpassed only the the repetitive nature of it.

That's because on the whole, football fans don't want pundits/analysts to say how they see things, they want people to have the same opinion as them. Anything other than a similar opinion is a "narrative" and of course "clueless". Once you understand Pundits aren't being paid to make supporters feel better about their clubs, they are a lot less annoying.

Some pundits seem to be more biased than the average fan though, which will always annoy a lot of people.
