He's had a horrible 12 months, but based on the 18 months prior to that I saw a player with all the ingredients to be a very good centre forward. My opinion has not changed, but he does need to turn it around. Maybe Liverpool isn't the place to do it, I don't know, but he's let a very promising start to his premiership career become undone and he has to start from scratch. Still, I think there's a player there, he's shown it in the past.

i feel for the lad, he didnt decide his price-tag but he will always be known as "The £35 million pound man", and as a result look worse than he actually is.

Another miserable performance yesterday just proved I was right about him all along. He is below average technically and does not have what it takes to be a striker. Lacking in sharpness and confidence I don't see how he will improve any time soon. It's all to do with mentality and if you are prepare to work hard for the goal you will get it sooner or later. However, he seems not be arsed at the moment.
