HR was asked about Bentley and Jenas on his way in to the training ground.

On Bentley he was asked if there was any truth to the rumor and why he didn't play him at Spurs and he replied that he had Bale and Lennon so it was very difficult but lets see. More importantly, he didn't say that he's not a player he is interested in and he looked like he didn't want to say to much on it.:cautious:

With Jenas the interviewer expressed concerns over his fitness and HR said that when fit he's a very good player. Again, he didn't say that he's not a player he's interested in.

What really stood out though was that he described neither player as "trifik".;)

Just came across a post elsewhere, I'm not a betting man, so it means bugger all to me. However, I figured it may be of interest to one or two of you?

"Townsend is 8/15 to leave spurs in the transfer window, backed in from 7/1 someone has inside info, that's my guess?"

Yeah. Cheers for the info mate.

Love,
Andros x

With the odds drastically changing like that it could be inside information. Lets hope it isn't Townsend doing the betting though... To soon?

See, I have no idea how bookies work. Is it not conceivable that they slowly drop the odds themselves, to encourage a flurry of bets?

Andros just retweeted this from a QPR fan...

just when I'm giving up on u I read this!He's coming home,he's coming home,he's coming @andros_townsend coming home! http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-transfers-tom-ince-target-2166703

The Mirror article included in the tweet says:

"...in line to replace Andros Townsend, with the young wideman wanted full-time by Harry Redknapp at Queens Park Rangers.
Townsend, who impressed for the relegation-bound Rs last season after Redknapp signed him on loan, would be part of a £5million double deal also taking Scott Parker from White Hart Lane to Loftus Road."

I'd assume that scenario only happens if Andros has made it clear he wants regular football. Makes no sense to get rid of a club-trained winger only to replace for the same money with the son of Paul, who has no prem experience, otherwise.

Just stay and be happy with a squad place FFS!

Well, that part is clearly bullshit. As, indeed, might be the whole thing but yeah, £5m double deal - not happening. Why not just ram a fencepost up our arses whilst we're selling Scotty and Andros for a combined £5m.

I will be so fucking upset if we sell Andros. Absolutely unnecessary. One of the players that can make the biggest impact this season, English/HG, huge potential, if we sell him now he'll end up going for 2-3 times that later on. I'm really getting tired of AVB's philosophy of throwing away every damn English player we have just because his name doesn't end in "inho"...This would be a ridiculous transfer, he is already capable of being a starter for us.

If he does go I can't see Levy accepting less than £6m seeing he proved himself in the prem. I will be pissed though. He's impressed me more than Lennon recently.

Agreed, Townsend is worth the same as Caulker imo - Similar playing ability and potential, albiet different positions.
