We are obviously casting our net far and wide for the summer. Good to see.

Finally a window where we'll have proper contingencies if main options fall through.

Levy won't pay £20m for a Russian/Ukrainian with their track record in this country re Rebrov, Arshavin etc.

Konoplanka on a free sounds more likely/far less risk

Except Konoplyana isn't as good...

So that track record could have a decent chance of holding up if we go for lesser players.

I agree with @Sweech honestly that Yarmolenko is the better player, but Konoplyanka provides more qualities we're lacking in. We already have a powerful wide forward, what we lack is pace and ability in tight spaces.

Yarmolenko is quality though. My concern with him is whether or not he'd work in our congestion, as he's best utilized in large areas of space for him to attack.

And finally, Baldini may not have been there to watch anyone. Fwiw, he's from the area of Florence, so he may have just been visiting home and going to a football match with friends, and very well may even be a Viola fan himself.
