Arsenal and Tottenham open chase for Partizan Belgrade youngster Andrija Zivkovic

Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in signing Partizan Belgrade youngster Andrija Zivkovic, dubbed by many as the "Serbian Messi". The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Europe, with a host of Spanish clubs including Atletico Madrid and Villareal interested in his services.

The player will be eligible to talk to foreign clubs in January for a free transfer next summer, something that Belgrade are trying to avert by urging interest from clubs across Europe for a move in January. Atletico are currently favourites for his signature given their legacy of creating great players while grooming them as youngsters. The two north London clubs can also make a case for their interest, with both having seen a myriad of players come through their youth system in the last few years.

The winger is known for his versatility, with the ability to play on both wings and providing width and creativity from the flanks. He will be a good addition at the Emirates, with the Gunners lacking a proper replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who had to be shifted to the right against West Bromwich Albion, with Kieran Gibbs replacing him on the left wing. Tottenham can also do with some fresh infusion of young blood into the team and adding to the promising core which has displayed glimpses of its potential over the last two games.

Can't say I know too much about this kid, has a pretty decent scoring record (1 in 4) for a winger, which isn't bad, for a 19 Year-Old especially. Just wish people would stop "Dubbing" people to be the "...... Messi/Ronaldo etc.." get's pretty tiresome...

Anyway, saw it on a few sights so I thought I would pop it up to see what you all thought...

Good player, I have mentioned him a few times as someone we should go after in the u21s thread. If we couldn't get Roberts I wanted this kid, was Serbia's standout at the u20 WC during the summer

Would be a great signing.

Levy should pay them what they want for a transfer in January as he'll be worth loads more in the future.

He's like a young Eden hazard.

I assume Milos Veljkovic wouldn't be putting in a good word for us, then :bag:

I think if a young attacking player is over 5' 9", they're the the "new Ronaldo".
Under 5' 9" and they're the "new Messi".

Very good player but Lazar Markovic was similar to him and didn't do too well in Premeirship. Difference is he will be pretty much free while Liverpool paid 20m for Markovic.

Bad coaching imo.
Markovic with us would be fantastic

Unsure if I think we still need him. RW options before season it was an under performing lamela and Townsend. Lamela has improved but we have Son and Njie who can play there. If we need a RW I'd take him though I'd probably still prefer Boufal
