I'm not sure its just that tbh. Wolves owners are an obscenely wealthy company with a huge yearly turnover and Monthly profits that dwarf even other wealthy owners like this at Leicester and Everton. Apparently theirs is a long term investment and they want to turn Wolves into the 'Man City of the West' with a goal of turning them into a top 6 club with Mendes playing a huge role in that. Their push for Andre Silva at 30m+ is evidence enough of that.

Would those wealthy Everton owners be the same people that couldn’t complete on the purchase of Everton without the help of large loan from a certain Arsenal FC shareholder ?

Might be okay on a loan with option to buy deal. Maybe a straight swap for Sissoko?
i dont think they would let Messi go, and certainly not on loan
He has quite a high buy out clause of about a billion pounds and would probably want more than our highest earner
Also dont think they would do a straight swap for Silssoko either, i think they would want cash

André Gomes looks a good bet to be the 2nd player we are after this window. He’s available (Barca are well stocked on his position), he specialises in transitions from defence to attack, and is a realistic big name.

Plus we were linked with him in the summer like Moura. And he was talked about as the Barkley alternative.

Don’t think we have enough spots in our squad for the second player to be anything other than homegrown, unless someone is leaving.

He is not in Barca squad tonight, maybe a loan deal in the offering?
would definitely take him on loan for rest of season

Ok I was sceptical about this one. However if he's not injured and not been included then there might be something to it. Barca have plenty of defensive players in the bench which is quite telling really

Supposedly unwell. Don’t think there is anything in it. He has played a lot for them recently

Regarding Herc's latest ITK that we are trying for 2, and that the second is dependent on the selling club bringing in a replacement, there appears to have been movement by Barca for Arthur Melo.

Melo is a like-for-like central midfielder.

Odd to think that Barca would need a "replacement" for Gomes, given that he hasn't made the squad in many games, but the reports could line up with the ITK here...

Gomes has started the last 2 games for Barca he's been available for.

How good a passer is this guy, vision wise and tempo wise, one touch etc. We need that massively right now.

Well after watching him play for club and country and perusing his statistics in detail all I can say is that if we are looking for a midfielder who doesn't score, doesn't assist, doesn't tackle, but likes to make short sideways passes we have almost certainly found our man (y).

Gomes is a prime example of the Jorge Mendes hype train. He often manages to get his players sold for huge amounts and on fat contracts on little more then a youtube video.

Now imagine the Mendes hype train + a couple of years playing for Poch + Levy negotiating the selling fee = :woot::greedy:
