They’re showing all midweek games over that week and the post Xmas fixtures too. Definitely worth opting in for a 30 day trial at the start of December if you’re not already a Prime member.

I’m working til 10pm for the Utd game but assume I’ll be able to rewatch the game in full when I get home.

Correct - they acquired the rights to all the midweek fixtures during the week of December 2nd as well as all the Boxing Day matches. Smart move

A few years ago I turned a 30 day trial into a 15 month one! They were late on several Prime next day deliveries in the first couple of months that they kept extending the trial by a further 30 days when I complained to customer services. On the 3rd or 4th occasion to my surprise they then extended the trial by the year.

Sky should really develop an Apple TV app now similar to what they have on Ipad.

Right now I can watch Premier League matches on BT app and Amazon App on Apple TV but still have Sky Sub. Markets very fragmented and the next big sub prob to come to to the UK will be Disney +.

NBA AND NFL subs are already available to bolt on to AppleTV

For free with the subscription or do you need to pay like a pay per view type thing for it even if you're a member?

Good idea to get your month on or just before Black Friday, gets you all the better deals early access and free next (or same) day shipping over Christmas plus those two rounds of Premiership games.

Even if you don't have a trial available it's gotta be worth £7.99...

Love the idea of sticking it to Sky but you couldn’t pause the live feed when viewed through the Amazon app on my TV.

Also, if you arrive home half an hour late from work and the match has started, you either have to miss the first part of the game or wait until midnight to watch the replay........work needed by Amazon to bring this up to a modern spec.

They almost certainly have the capability to do that, but there will be pernickety issues Re: licensing for replay or "not live" broadcast.

That's down to the hardware I'm afraid....Amazon TV apps and Firesticks have very limited space to store anything, there's no hard drive like there is in your Sky Box, and that's what's needed to enable live pausing.

Are you sure about this? On their tennis streaming you have the option to ‘watch from beginning’ and then can forward and rewind as you please up until ‘real time’.

One big issue is that the streams tonight were about 90 seconds behind real time! Don’t go on social media or betting sites, or you will see the scores before you view it on TV.

Not true, there’s an option for you to start the game from the beginning
