Bentaleb and Algeria are scheduled to play:

19 Jan - vs. South Africa
23 Jan - vs. Ghana
27 Jan - vs. Senegal

If they finish 1st or 2nd in that group, which seems likely, they will play the quarterfinal 1 February, with a potential semi 5 February and final 8 February.

That means Bentaleb is likely to miss PL matches vs Sunderland on the 17th and WBA the 31st, as well as both legs of the cup semi vs Sheffield and potentially a next round FA Cup match. Frankly I think the schedule has been really kind to us there as we shouldn't really be dropping points in any of those games. However if they reach the final it would put him out for Arsenal at the Lane on Feb 7 which would be a real blow IMO.

If they reach the semi-final, he won't play in the NLD either. Not good.

Sucks that we're going to be without him for about a month. I just hope he doesn't get injured while he's there.

He's become a key member of the team/squad. Fair play to the lad, he's really taken to this level of football like a duck to water.
