Love it. We keep hearing about United wanting to change the mindset throughout the club, so they go after a hugely questionable character. Woodward'd!

He already made a fuss about being played as a DM at PSG- can you imagine the tantrum he'll throw on a Wednesday night, pre Europa league game, when he realizes he has to travel to likes of Baku to play FC Klymidia 1910 :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Jesus, him and Pogba in the same squad- there’d be no room for anyone else on the team coach

Tantrum made in heaven

I can't pretend to know a single thing about this guys ability.

However, I find it interesting (and rather bizarre) that so many people now seem to be praying that he signs for a PL rival, when so many were so desperate for us to sign him so very recently.

He's still the exact same player, with exactly the same personality & attitude, that so many on here believed and said would be the difference we've lacked in midfield. But it would be hilarious if a rival signed him.

Funny world we live in.

No one is questioning his ability rather his attitude and how he's very likely to lead to squad disharmony and in fighting wherever he ends up. Him and his mother, who just happens to be his agent, have a long storied history of going out of their way to be unreasonable.

Couple of his highlights -

Told the coach that he did not want to play as a DM

Refused to be on France standby squad as he felt it was beneath him

Another long read about why he's disliked below:

I know we've been linked in the past but I really don't see him as Poch player or working well with our current setup.

Yes I know about all of that, it's been discussed at length since we were first linked with him. But it was largely ignored & he was the answer to our midfield shortcomings.

I simply find it bizarre that people are now finding it funny & praying for him to sign for our rivals. If his ability is what they believed would solve our midfield issues, why on earth would we want him in a rivals midfield?

Because the options we've been linked to (N'Dombele, Lo Celso and Diawara) are either similar or superior in skill level and better suited to our overall squad harmony and development than Rabiot. I'm not sure if we were seriously trying for Rabiot but I could only see that ending poorly if we did end up signing him.

Additionally, with the current situation at Man United being what it is, Rabiot isn't going to be calming, mature influence who'll somehow help the team get it's shit together and make the likes of Fred any better - he's going there because Woodward will pay up whatever Rabiot and his mom ask for.

It's too bad that a talent like Rabiot ends up ruining his career because he is a sulky little fucker. If it weren't for their poor attitude, both Bentaleb and Taarabt could have been playing the final on Saturday. Instead they ended up in the reserve team for Benfica and Schalke. It just shows how much a bad attitude can ruin a career and talent

Many Spurs fan were probably so desperate for CM cover that they were willing to put up with the eventual issues that would have come from a player like Rabiot being in the squad. Now that we've overachieved in respects to this season and surely have some funds saved over and earned from our CL run, we can afford to get a quality player without the unnecessary baggage. Last thing we want to do is mess with the current squad harmony.

The difference is team mentality. I think if he comes to Spurs, Poch will be clear what the expectation is. Badge first. Die in training and you may play.

At United, already a wreck of player egos, he'll be given license to kick up a fuss if things don't go his way. And starting out with a €10m a year offer seems to indicate, once again, that they make their players feel too precious.

Sounds to me as though Poch learned all he needed to know about the player and his entourage when we tried to get a deal done. Bullet dodged.

Exactly , I was one of those, because he's a good player.

We made it through to the summer by the skin of our teeth and now we have more options. The player with the bad attitude goes down the pecking order.
