I still want him. People believe things on the internet too quickly. He’ll want Barcelona over us quite rightly.

Over £200k per week if you factor in the signing on fee. Wonder where this leaves De Jong? PSG strongly linked but surely that'd be a waste, not to mention their FFP problems.

For all my want to believe PSG have problems with FFP I'd bet any amount of money that the right pockets would be greased and they would get a minor sanction, if anything.

If he was thinking of the Prem, I think City would be head of that queue.

Barça rebuilding? Rakitic and Busquets will both be 31 by the start of next season. Busquets/Rakitic/Xavi evolves to De Jong/Rabiot/Arthur?

This ties in with pretty much all the ITK we have had about our top targets wanting to move to teams far above our station. I guess all the top teams are looking at the likes do de ligt and de jong, and based on last nights performance, N'domble looks like the perfect replacement for Fernandihno (sp) ... We're either going to have to drastically change how we approach players (unlikely) or find the next one in line, because we deffo cannot compete with the Barca's of this world.

Pep has been talking a lot about increasing the physicality of this midfield three with Fernandinho getting old, hence all their links to Ndombele. Wouldn't surprise me if De Jong wasn't actually their first choice CM in the summer.

Doesn't mean we stand a chance though sadly.

I think city will go for kante to replace fernandinho especially if sarri keeps playing him out of position

I cant help but think Barca will still get De Jong in summer. Doesn't really matter to us anyway, way too rich for Levy's blood. Rabiot was never going to to come to us, what would be the point for him.
