From a mercenary perspective he really is the top dog - and that works on so many levels. Kok.

WTF... he has put one over on Daniel Levy in this contract business. Not an easy thing to do. Just get him off the wages book....

Not necessarily, if part of the pay off is that he didn't get it as a lump sum, and effectively loses some of it if he signs a contract....

this is what I assumed happened. Spurs won't be paying him 100k a week (I'd be amazed..), but the pay off may well be weekly/monthly - which means until it's over, he won't join a new club.

£400k a month for doing less than what he done twelve months ago? He must think all the clubs over here are stooopid, I just hope no one touches him this time around and that includes Chelski.

This is still on the club website:
We can confirm that we have reached a mutual agreement with Emmanuel Adebayor which will see him released from his contract with the Club.
Did they mean they have reached an agreement to carry on paying him in full, and will see him released when the contract finally expires?
I guess they have reached the same mutual agreement with all the players then.
What a deceitful statement.

Whatever he pays his agent, the guy is worth every penny. Either that or this story isn't entirely true.
