Just seems like Ade plays to his own beats, and Poch is going to require that he plays in unison with the rest of the team - pressing only works if everyone is reading the same thing.

I think Ade did not like AVB, because AVB wanted to micro-manage how everyone played, with too many instructions. By contrast, TS allowed Ade to simply run around a bit. Pochettino will be in the middle, but closer to AVB, in terms of individual player instructions. That just seems like a recipe for disaster at some point in the season.

I agree - that recipe for disaster is down to the main ingredient, not the chef preparing the courses.

Happy for his weekly wage to drop from 170k to 80k?
Do me a favour. He might be prepared to take a small cut to stay in London but he is a professional athlete and will be looking to get as close as possible to his present pay. If someone will pay it he will be away.
This isn't an anti Ade dig. Just a realistic observation.

You can post whatever stats you like (as in the Sherwood win ratio) I don't give a monkey's. I understand and agree with the reasoning why he's not worth it though the same as it should be with your arguement, it doesn't mean its right and you are wrong. its a point of view.
If the decision makers at the club think it too there is no way on this planet the club cannot afford a package for a forward with the same ratio without the baggage.

But you have no reasoning just bile.

Let's have a name who you think would actually come to Spurs who would be better, with a better conversion rate? You must know them, you must have them in your "baggage" free diary?

Just name a player (any one will do) include the cost of the sale (say twenty five million just in the transfer cost alone for Lukaku or Bony) both have a similar strike rate and how much is would cost to keep Ade, say ten million over two years?.

The "baggage" is just a made up way of saying that you personally do not like Ade the player. If he scores goals (which Ade has always done at any club he's been at) then he can bring along baggage by the truck load.

You seem to think that there are top rated goalscorers lining up outside Levy's office begging to play in the EL next season.

I don't have to do any of that. My 'bile' and lack of reasoning pointed out that this is down to the decision makers at the club. How many times have you shouted down someone's opinion and the club has gone and done exactly what was being discussed that you disagreed with? Most recently getting rid of Sherwood with his 'win ratio?'

Then what? Divide the outlay by the number of years service expected coupled with potential resale value and external revenue. Offset the diminishing return both financially and in minutes played on a player over 30 who will be worth nothing in a couple of years blah blah blah...............Nope! Too complicated. Gonna go with the gut feeling that Adebayor is egotistical, unreliable, expensive and not much of a team player.

Obviously you can offer no name to replace Ade.

Change the subject and your still wrong. I (along with others on here) were correct on AVB and his demise. I didn't think that Levy would be so stupid as to give Sherwood the job but he did and he ended up with a Spurs side three points off where AVB had left us the previous season. For a manager so ineperienced that wasn't a bad resullt.

But i guess that youv'e always been right, so just name this mythical striker who will deliver (like you say at less cost) more goals per game than Ade did last season. After all that sas your view in your original post before going off topic.

No I'm not always right, neither wrong. Exactly the same as you, its just opinions on what is being discussed and I realize that other people may have different opinions to me, I listen to the reasons they have and can respect that.
I won't name who I think we should sign. appoint as manager or what team we should play at the weekend. All pointless to me as I have no influence.

His own admission of yelling at and undermining his manager in front of the squad after doing so in private.
He criticised AVB's tactics in front of the team, having done so in private but (he felt) being ignored, don't recall mention of yelling though. Yes, he can be a livewire but Sandro and Capoue have both been critical in the media too. Problem is they all play in areas we're not overendowed with resources in so'd need replacing.
I had thought we were paying £100k pw and were set to pay £170k pw now his Citeh clause has ended, so wanted rid. But at £80-90k pw I'd say keep him, at least see how he and Poch get on.

African Cup of Nations next season. His record in ACN seasons is simply horrible irrespective of which club he played for (look at the stats if you don't believe me). Sell him while we can.

I'll be interested to see how all our guys take Poch's aggressive training agenda!

Agree on that, have been keen on Poch but straight after his appointment there was an article about his "strict methods" and "military" style. Don't know how much is hot air but those words worried me as they had a touch of Ramos about them - and we know how that went. Then again, George Graham brought in stricter standards when he took over and that largely went well in terms of being better drilled and focused.
Funnily enough - both Graham and Ramos won us the League Cup in their first season as well - is that an omen????
