Emmanuel Adebayor is keen to extend his Tottenham career into next season, even though staying at White Hart Lane would mean a possible pay cut.

Time to go, I hope we can off load him this summer, too much of a bad apple when not getting his own way.

Maybe when Sherwood lands the Barca job he'll come in for him. :)

As good as he can be 80,000-90,000 sounds like way too much for Ade, especially considering his inconsistency and that he'll probably go to the ANC for a couple of months. If we can get in a quality replacement (or two) we should let him go this summer.

He scored 14 in 25 games last season, plus four assists. Just who would you bring in to fill that scoring rate? Not too much of a bad apple from what i see just sour grapes from fans who always tend to whine just for the sake of it without actually looking at a players true contribution.

I'd like to get a replacement first.
Imagine buying another soldado after selling him.

I hope we keep him.

If Poch can get the best out of him, then I can't see how we could afford anyone better.

Extend his contract first and if we can get someone better, then sell him. He'll be worth more than 15 million pounds on the market.

Would only sell if we can get in Lukaku as a replacement and then only if we got a good fee for him.
He's good enough to do a job next season. If he's playing and scoring he'll be happy enough.

I keep reading comments like this, citing his 'bad apple' characteristics, but what real evidence is there that this is true?

Well, much as I don't want to open an 'Ade pandora's box' here let me ask this: If he goes to the A.N.C. next year, are Spurs going to have to send another private jet to get him to come back?

Up to Poch, indifferent feelings towards him. When he wants too he can be unstoppable, but, when he doesn't, he turns into a ghost.

Our various strikers have been under performing for years. So I don't care what it takes (Ade leaving or staying), I just want to see us with goal scoring forwards. Is this really too much to ask for!

Just seems like Ade plays to his own beats, and Poch is going to require that he plays in unison with the rest of the team - pressing only works if everyone is reading the same thing.

I think Ade did not like AVB, because AVB wanted to micro-manage how everyone played, with too many instructions. By contrast, TS allowed Ade to simply run around a bit. Pochettino will be in the middle, but closer to AVB, in terms of individual player instructions. That just seems like a recipe for disaster at some point in the season.

Ade only ups his game when he is after a new contract or a new club, give him a new deal he will revert to type

If we are going to give him a new deal make it a 1 year rolling contract so he doesn't get lazy

You can post whatever stats you like (as in the Sherwood win ratio) I don't give a monkey's. I understand and agree with the reasoning why he's not worth it though the same as it should be with your arguement, it doesn't mean its right and you are wrong. its a point of view.
If the decision makers at the club think it too there is no way on this planet the club cannot afford a package for a forward with the same ratio without the baggage.
