As squad currently stands plus with the likely notion we will sign 2-3 decent players before the window closes…
-4th-6th but more consistent performances
-Cup Semi
-Play more youth

Really totally depends who we sign or don’t.

If we get e.g. Ramsey, Neto and Eze and a back-up LB we could come top 4 and win a cup. I also fear we might need to sign a striker (probably depends if Richy goes).

I hope we can play even better and more consistent football and that we dominate games more so us being so wide open at the back isn’t as much of an issue.

Excited for the season ahead. Hope gooners done win it, hope we keep improving but we need minimum a CM and 2 top attacking signings if we want to do something this season.

5th Place
Europa League - QF
FA Cup - 4th Rd
League Cup - Semi

Ange's style of football kicks into life in a big way and we really live by the sword and die by the sword
This is probably about what I expect although would hope depending on the draw that we could get to FA CUP QF at least.

Dragusin to have his breakthrough season and VDV playing more at LB

Bissouma to be our player of the season

Mikey Moore becomes England's next big hype/hope

Romero to become the regular captain before season ends.

We finally win something

5th or 6th below Newcastle
Neto signs and plays 15 games
Richarlison plays 15 games
Bergvall sees red on debut
We exit each cup as soon as we draw a tough opponent

Most on here (who wouldnt attend a match if it was being played in their local park) round on the dissenters- there's always next year!

*will update this in three weeks

  1. Finish 6th-8th - but above Liverpool
  2. Moore, Gray and Bergvall fast tracked into the first team and becoming regulars by the end of the season
  3. Son's final season with the club. Kulusevski playing as a false 9.
  4. Extended cup runs that ultimately end in hilariously awful failure
  5. Metallica tour dates announced for the new stadium

We still look so open in pre season, I know its pre season and we want some more players in but as of yet our first 11 hasn't improved, our system seems to be the same so I cant see us finishing higher than 5th.

I hope i am proved wrong, and maybe eze and neto elevate us enough and gray holds down the 6 spot but I do feel this system is too open

Impossible to say until the transfer window is closed. I will make my assessment then.

As it stands right now, I can’t see us making CL spots or winning a trophy.
I’ll reassess after the window closes.

League position depends on further signings so I'll say closer to the time, but I do think Bergvall and Gray end the season as starters.

I think we remain some way off City, Arsenal and Liverpool, although we'll see once the window is closed.

I also really worry about Ange's approach when we also have Europe to juggle but again that would be solved by significantly strengthening the squad.

I think another battle for 4th place is likely.

The Europa is a genuine target and I'd be disappointed if we didn't go deep in that.

The FA Cup is a bit of a crap-shoot really but again want us to take it seriously.

I really don't care about the league cup unless we stumble to the semis.

Feeling way too positive at the moment and it worries me slightly as I'm not normally this optimistic but I can see the plan and how it all falls into place (just need to get a half-decent striker in)

Is Ange brave enough to give Bergval / Moore / Grey / Lankshear some decent minutes? I think he will and if Romero / VDV can both avoid injuries then we have a hell of a chance at threatening the top end of the league.

Expectations are 3rd-4th but I believe we can get 2nd (1st if City get hit hard by PSR)

  • 4th place finish
  • Richy scores at a clip of 0.67 goals per appearance. (roughly double last year)
  • Europa final and Harry gets equal or less silverware than Spurs this year
  • Timo Werner quadruples last year's goal tally for Spurs (really not that outrageous)
  • A&C retires the ban stick
  • special Bonus - Ange gets Coach of the Year

We will be just about to win the league when an asteroid hits earth creating an extinction level event.
