Now that pre-season has started with some excitement and we're still in the middle of the silly season of transfers, what are your 5 bold predictions and expectations for the upcoming season?

Personally I want to continue to see more goals and cohesion in our play. I want to see our emerging star youth players integrated especially in the cup competitions.

I'm expecting progress at minimum for a successful season ,and for me, that's finishing at least 4th and getting to the quarter-finals of the Europa, FA Cup, and League Cup. I think we are finally starting to see the squad depth needed for that competition on all four fronts. There's a lot of luck of the draw in the cups so I want to take that into account with getting to the QFs and seeing what happens or if we put more resources or energy into Europa/FA etc.

Specific Expectations:
I think we have it in us with better injury luck and continued development and shaping of the squad to have at least 75 points (+9 on last season), score at least 80 goals (+6 on last season), concede no more than 52 goals (-9 on last season) for a GD of 28 which would be +15 on last season and put us right around 4th at least.

I see opta simulated this upcomping season with these results:

1) City
2) Arsenal
3) liverpool
4) United (71 points)
5) Chelsea
6) Villa
7) Spurs ( on 63 points, 3 worse than last year)

Lol.

Id be extremely disappointed if we dont get well over the 70 mark this season, finishing top 4.

We had ridiculous injuries and suspensions that did impact our season significantly.

Another pre season with Ange and those attacking additions to come in and Id expect at least another 10 points on last season.

A cup run would also be great.

Serious push for top 4. And a commitment to take seriously and try and win a cup, whichever one it may be.

That is probably about right considering how we finished last season and haven't strengthened the first 11 yet.

Need to see how we shape up after the window closes

We’ll fall short in the league (it’s just too competitive up there for a team that’s still in transition)
We’ll win at least one cup, possibly two.
We’ll qualify for the champions league by winning the Europa league.
Brennan Johnson will hit double figures in both goals and assists.
It‘ll be Lankshear that breaks through out of all the youth talent.

I think the league is, outside of the top 2, so competitive at the moment.
I genuinely believe that we (along with lots of other teams) could finish anywhere between 3rd and 11th.

so 5 things that might not shock me (I’m not predictIng this will happen)

1. Spurs could finish 10th, which would almost certainly see Ange Sacked

2. Spurs could finish 3rd and have a great year.

3. Match going fans will be singing/shouting for whomever from our academy is on the bench to come on when we are struggling in matches.

4. One of VDV, Udogie, Sarr, Vicario, Maddison has an absolute stinker of a second season.

5. We bloody win something!!

I’m keeping my expectations low. So long as we play exciting football, young players are integrated and we don’t get knocked out of every cup at the first stage, I’ll be happy.

If we finish top 4 or actually win a cup I will be very pleasantly surprised.

We fail to sell who we want and we fail to buy who we want (mutterings of Levy out).
We have a rough start to the season and are mid table (7-12th) when the first international break starts (mutterings of Ange out).
We are knocked out in the semi finals of the Europa.
We finish fifth in the league.
We concede more goals than we did last season.

Top 3

Romano our player of year and more prominent as captain as Sons minutes are managed.

Johnson’s our top scorer in the league (unless we sign an outstanding number9).

man’s we concede less than 35 goals

FA Cup - Semis
League Cup - Early knockout
Europa League - Final
League - 5th

Other out there(ish) predictions

Unless there is an injury crisis, Moore will be the only academy player to get meaningful minutes, but he will be a revelation

Gray becomes either the starting 6 or right back before the end of the season

Spence leaves for another Prem club and is one of the players of the season

We both score and concede more goals than last season in the league

In the TW we sign one more attacking player but also make a surprise move for a 17/18 year old prospect in the mould of Veliz/Bergvall. Not sure what position.

5 bold predictions:

Lankshear is our starting CF before long and is even touted for an England call up by the end of the season.

Johnson becomes even more of a scapegoat despite okay (ish) numbers.

Highlight of our season will be the Europa league run.

Archie Gray looks a better signing than Declan Rice come the end of the season.

Son is more of an 'impact from the bench' by the end of the season.

The only cast iron certainty for 24/25 season is that at the end of it Daniel Levy will still be chairman.

I am hoping we will concede less goals this coming season , first half of of last season we only had Romero and VDV as centre backs now we have Phillips and Dragusin as cover from the start , just tighten up a little at the back should mean more points.

As the squad currently stands, 5th or 6th, we are just too unbalanced and the lack of a specialist striker and a number 6 will cost us. Think we might have a shot at Europa, but progress in domestic cups dependent (as ever) upon us avoiding the big clubs in the early rounds. However if we sort out the squad this might all change for the better!
