Always feels like we're away first day, barring 2 seasons where we hac City and Southampton.

Away to Leicester and their paper clappers on a Monday night first weekend of the season. That should be a laugh.

At least we’re home on the last day this time. Honestly I’m still rattled over how the arse club were selected to play at their shithole both on the first and last game of last season. Fucking jammy **** bastards. That should never happen unless it’s us who gets both first and last day at home, cos naturally we’re the only North London premier league club. They always play away anyway, Woolwich Wanderers ****s.

Don't mind those fixtures at all. If we can hit the ground running then I also don't mind having arsenal and man utd so soon, particularly before arsenal get into any rhythm.

Hmm if we get through February and we're close, I like the look of that run-in...

That's not too terrible, though Boxing Day away to Forest is a bit of a treck considering how many London/SE sides there are.

When was the last time we had the home NLD first? Swear it's always Emirates around September then Tottenham Hotspur Stadium/WHL around April.

Edit: just seen the away derby is January. That's even weirder but at least it gets it over with.

I think the last time was in 2020, when we played them in December.

But you're right. Last season we played at the Emirates in September. The season before we were at the Emirates in October. The season before that we were there in September again. And In 2019 we played at the Emirates in September.

We had that in the 21/22 season as well, but the Scum managed to get the game postponed, citing COVID-issues, when in reality only 1 player was actually infected. They just had a bunch of injuries. We were very injury hit as well, but on a good run at the time.

Needless to say, we smashed them 3-0 when the game was finally played in May.

Forgot about that. It just always felt like the away game was early and the home game late (around my birthday). Definitely seems be the Emirates first more often than not though.

As in my post above it has always felt (to me) Emirates first and early then WHL much, much later.

I went all the way back to 1969 and then got bored, if the game is played on the 26th I believe this is the furthest we've ever travelled for a Boxing Day fixture.

Actually think we have a really tough opening set of fixtures tbh.

Agree. 4 of our first 7 matches are Newcastle away, Arsenal at home, Man U away, Brighton away.

We took 1 point from those 4 matches last season.

Opening 3 fixtures are shite, away to Leicester on a Monday night urrgh. Then away to Toon shortly after our worst fixture in recent years.

I think we've a very tough start.
