Went for him last year. Thought they might have finally come to their senses, but I guess not.

I see Shearer is coming up with new predictions after only a handful of games. Why do they do it? Apart from Man City and Liverpool competing for the top 2 places in the EPL last season, the bookies made a killing as all through the season in the EPL and CL, it was so topsy turvey with these pundits were changing their minds almost every week.

At Christmas last year we were third and being touted as a contender for the title. In the end we scraped through into 4th because the Arse and Utd were even more dismal than us. We were given no chance of getting through to the KO stage of the CL and not expected to beat some of the teams we did in reaching the final. Even in the final when we were given no chance, the result was pretty much given to Liverpool in the 26th second by giving them a very dubious penalty. Chelsea were never favourite for 3rd place but got it courtesy of us.

Shearer seems to think that Leicester are destined for the 4th spot on the basis of having had the luck of a wrong VAR call!! This is going to be a long season and the Leicester squad is not deep enough to cover injuries and suspensions. Add to that they may well lose a couple of their best players in January, they will need the luck of O'Riley to even make the top 6 in my opinion.

Getting the 3rd and 4th spot is going to be tough for the bottom 4 of the top 6. Just like last season when Chelsea surprised the pundits by getting 3rd, this season is likely to be a see saw of a time. Those who are writing Spurs off from 3rd or 4th place are being very premature. I think Shearer is wrong about Leicester and those who are starting to write off us are being premature.

My prediction is we will be 3rd or 4th and will reach a final which we could win if we get the luck for once instead of our opponents.

It is strange how many of the experts change their mind so often based on a couple of results. Leicester do look good and I almost put them in my top six, but like you say it's a long season and injuries could have a big impact. I can't see them selling anyone in January though - the owner doesn't seem the sort to start cashing in mid season.

I can't believe no one had Global pandemic puts the entire country in lockdown and causes the football season to be suspended and possibly cancelled as their Outlandish Prediction. You lot need to up your game.
