Hi all. Sorry if this breaks any site rules.

I just read a tragic story in my local rag about a 19 year old Barnet fan -Chris East - who tragically died of a heart attack on the way to watching his teams game on Sat.

Other than living in Barnet and watching the odd game when we are not playing I have no attachment and didnt know the guy but really made me think. Anyway his mates are trying to raise money to design a flag with his picture on. Be great if us Yids could do our bit.

Link here to donate.

19? Man, that puts life into perspective, did he have a preexisting heart condition he didn't know about? Such a young age to pass from a heart attack. RIP.

Was good friends with his brother at uni and can't say enough about him and what a nice guy he was and still is. Truly heartbreaking story and I urge all of us to come together to do our bit

From what I've read he did have a pre existing condition but it was under control and death came as a huge shock and unexpected

Incredibly sad to die so young, may he RIP. Condolences to his family and friends.

I know Barnet well having ived in Whetstone for 19 years but never actually got to see a game at their old ground although a few locals tried to persuade me to go.
