Long term, I agree. I tend to prefer Werner, over BJ, finds space high and wide, and creates more space for the rest of the team as a result. Better on the ball too.

Brennan has been pretty poor. Hope we get Werner on soon.

Player Watch Player Watch: Timo Werner

Thought he was good today. The way he stretches teams high and wide. He’s not afraid to run at folks. Yes his finishing could be better, but still a great option to have in the squad. No brainer to exercise his option, we’ll need depth in the squad with Europe of some form next year.

Is Biss likely to start? We’ve been missing him at 6. Even though he dropped off a bit from the early season exceptional performances, he’s still by far the best we have there.

100%, I was thinking he looks just like a young Maddison.

Some of his footwork and awareness in the box was incredible. Very few players move and find space/ sense pressure like him. What a blessing to have him on the squad. Hope he stays fit.

Was excellent in the second half. Really enjoyed seeing him in space. We need to keep finding him there.

Match Threads Spurs vs Brentford -

We do really need someone who could beat their man on the wing, or get to the bylines. Timo is trying to do it, but his delivery has been poor, the ball seems to get stuck under his feet always.

Player Watch Player Watch: Brennan Johnson

He seems like a good lad, and there’s a few things I really like about Johnson. He is top class at running off the shoulder of his defender, and of course his pace. BUT his anticipation (Nb different to when he proactively runs off the ball) is really poor, he’s consistently second to...

Player Watch Player Watch: Timo Werner

Would love to have seen his runs found. He really does find space well and is dangerous high and wide. Think with Maddison and a more settled midfield, we find him more. I thought Hojberg was our best player yesterday, but he does not see the early balls, that’s not a strength of his (I’m a fan...

I love him, think he can offer so much, but he wasn’t great today in that 10 position.

Well, if Johnson had a final ball ;) City obviously have controlled. But we have had some good breaks. I’d have Maddison on for Kulusevski as I think we need Jonson and Timo’s pace behind. We really need to find those Timo runs, Maddison will help with that.
