True and pool were able to challenge city past 3/4 years with having average players pad out their squad but don't we own enough average players without bringing in another one?
He is good value at 15m but that money and his wages could be the difference between a top striker / LW and a level...
Interesting listening to last few minutes of the view from the lane comparing Jack pitt Brookes view of Ange & his cult and Danny Kelly & his more maybe pragmatism regards him. It's well worth a listen, I'm more JPB to be honest but understand where Danny is coming from
Posted this back on 31st march and nothing has changed in my opinion. He just isn't good enough to be a starter and we have enough players who can be rotation options there.
We need better starters and need those funds (particularly wages) to go towards a lw/striker/no.6
I'm not one for blindly accepting decisions but if after spending c9 months with our squad and also the level of knowledge of Gallagher that he has at this stage if he still wants him this badly then I would be fully behind it.
It wouldn't be who I would sign but if he wants him for this long...
WLB did again state variation when he mentioned him last night and said he hinted at this before. Maybe it's his versatility that is also of real interest to the club and that he can fit into several different positions like a say Bernardo Silva which means he would be a hugely valuable member...
Be so difficult to get him out of there. Bilboa is such a special place for their players, his family loves it there he plays with his brother etc
I think only a super club (real Madrid, city, Barca) have a big enough pull to take him out of there.
Hope im wrong but just find it hard to see...
Lee young-pyo for me.
Will always remember before we played man u sky sports did a big section on how Ronaldo would have him on toast, how he's too big and strong for him etc and Lee had him in his pocket for the match. Hugely underappreciated player and those are usually the cult ones for own...
I was listening to The Tottenham way podcast about 2 weeks ago and the host Marcus Buckland mentioned Hung Dang and spoke about him like he was a great prospect back in the day. I had never heard of him (and doubt I'm alone as did a search in here and no results - not even a Houdini type...
Do you honestly believe he's been playing well in the last 6/7 games? Against Fulham and west ham he was our worst player. Only a real lack of a replacement kept him on pitch yesterday.
Every player has bad runs of form and sonny, as brilliant as he is, can be a streaky player and recently hes...
Could do with being "rested" against Newcastle on Saturday. So many misplaced passes in first half, he was way off it..
His "punch" on Yates wouldn't of even knocked over my 6 year old but it was a very silly thing to do, stupid to even give the ref a decision to make.
Like Sonny we need him...
Can't see him being here this season so reluctant to start him but think he's earned a start against Newcastle In place of maddison. Going to be one of those frustrating signings that doesn't work out but will go on to another club and will look top quality. Messi loves him and ballers know...
It's a shame Richy isn't fit, if he was I would put Son on bench for Newcastle game. He had another poor game today and is in a bad run. Maybe could do with coming on after 60/70 minutes against tired defenders to get some confidence back.
Hope he hits form again very quickly as we can't afford...
