I’m not sure if I should post this in the ‘unpopular opinions’ thread instead. I am not keen on Gallagher at all. He’s chelsea through and through, was only really looking any good in a mediocre-to-poor palace side.
I accept he’s a had a couple of decent performances for Chelsea this season...
Exactly this. It’s a weird emotion I feel when we lose, because we have always looked good and unlucky to have come off on the wrong end. It’s always entertaining and enjoyable and it feels like we’re never out of a game with the amount of chances we create.
If we were taking our chances, we would be fully walloping teams. It was never gonna happen in one window. We’ve seen how we are with our strongest 11 playing… once we’ve got a squad tuned into the style, we’re gonna be rampant…
Even with our decimated squad we could and should have put games...
If we were a bit more ruthless at finishing the multitude of chances we are creating we would be out of sight most games. Need that cutting edge.
And some more CBs
When crouch scored vs city to put us in the CL for the first time, I shouted so hard I nearly passed out and had to sit down quietly and gather myself before going again.
It was close after Moura’s hat trick goal against Ajax also.
Literally heady times lol
We made some clear cut chances to equalise off the back of it. It would have been interesting to see what he did had we equalised with one of those chances.
The main downside to last nights game is the lack of top notch cbs we now have available. A lot of people were calling for a further signing but we didn’t and have been left short now as predicted
I’ve never been so entertained, enthralled and proud in a game we ended up losing 1-4. The absolute fight and determination was a joy to watch.
He’s a good egg, this one!
Other teams have missed some chances against us and Chelsea have missed a lot. Pessimistic me says that screams of classic dr. Tottenham vibes.
The Ange wave of optimism has me thinking maybe we’ll just win fairly comfortably.
Then there’s always the thought of how delicious it would be having...
I like this thinking. There is still a nagging thought of how paper thin our defence is though. There was a huge drop off having Davies instead of udogie in the first half against palace. One of our CBs go down and games will look a lot tougher. Need a CB good enough to challenge Romero and VDV...
I enjoy how he’s always sprinting. He’s got the air of a man who’s eaten 40 pro plus before running out.
Solid start. Tougher times to come and we’ll see his mettle tested, but he’s been very good so far…
Blimey mate. We may well finish 8th. It’s been an inspiring start, but a couple of defensive injuries and we may struggle… let’s see how it goes for the next 10 games before we start assuming we’re fully back in the hunt… it’ll avoid the meltdowns if we hit a rough patch
It’s silly that we haven’t got the second CB in.
It’s worse that we’ve let the only decent fit backup for the system go.
There must be some logic behind it - they fancy the youngsters are good enough for bit part roles and integration for example.
It does feel like we’re going to be very...
It’s why we need a football man in charge of the football side of this company. Levy has done well creating the training complex and stadium (that’s sort of his bag) but that money generated doesn’t seem to find its way back to the club.
Paritici had us making moves like a football club...
It’s scary thinking about Romero and Vicky Man de Men being out simultaneously. It’s pretty ridiculous to not bring in another CB, I struggle to see how he’s justifying it to anyone…
Sanchez can step in for the odd game, but an extended run in the team has never ended well
