I wanted him at Spurs for over 2 years. My only concern was whether he could adapt to the PL. His stint with Fulham has allayed those fears - incredibly impressive to make the impact he did despite a significant injury at the start of the season.
Such is the madness of our club, the joke is that we have proven over a number of recent seasons, we actually have the balls to get top4 over the line and put together a somewhat strong finish to the end of campaigns (perhaps coinciding with spectacular implosions in cup competitions around this...
To be clear, I only consider it doable on the basis LFC and NUFC are not good enough to win 9 more games this season. As mentioned, Newcastle have won that amount in 24 games.
Reckon we we 'only' need to win 7 more games - 69 pts should be enough. LFC are not winning more than 9 of their last 12 and whilst NUFC rarely lose, are unlikely to get 9 wins from 14 (one less than they have got all season).
Brighton and CFC big outsiders of course...the latter needing almost...
You don't get to decide whether I respond or not. I have experienced cancer at very close quarters and lost a few relatives close to me. I will not apologise for taking offense to it or believing it was utterly unnecessary.
Do better.
Hear what you are saying but Odegaard shields and retains the ball so well. Hate to say it but they have a gem in him. Fortunately, Kulu is superb for us.
A better comparison is with Odegaard; both are highly intelligent, creative, and hardworking. Their positioning, timing and passing are also strikingly similar.
I suspect the only two ways in which CFC are totally shafted is if either:
a) They cannot find a suitable buyer within the deadline leading to administration.
b) Roman is coerced by Putin not to agree to a sell (in order to vindictively punish/embarrass the government).
Both scenarios are...
This is a great post.
My only observation would be that despite some bad defeats, LFC even in the early days of Klopp, looked to have a distinct style and you could see what he was trying to instill in his side. Whilst there have been some promising displays under Conte, we have had a number...
Can we just dispel this nonsense about us making 'PR bids' for players?
We talk to loads of players all the time, some of it is leaked by agents/other clubs, but it is laughable to say we just pull these types of stunts to appease the fanbase. If anything, it is counterproductive and makes the...
Point is, we don't need to replace 4 with 4 - for example, if all we got in was Traore and say, Renato Sanches, it would have an instant impact on the first team. If the players you mentioned didn't feature in the remaining games we would barely even notice.
We need quality rather than...
Adama Traore, like most players, has key flaws in his game. Nevertheless, he has a number of attributes that you feel would be a dream for Conte. His ability to progress the ball when under pressure and pull opposition players out of position is incredible. There are few teams, if any, that...
PEH, as others have mentioned, is a huge problem right now. I could hardly think of many players in the squad less suited to be a Conte player. The manager demands fluidity and technical ability in midfield and it is hard to see what the Dane brings to the middle of the park. Not a bad player by...
