    Manager Watch: Ange Postecoglou

The flipside to all of this is - there are far more managers that have not managed to kick on from their first season, or that things have gotten even worse. You need to justify being given more time. Arteta would have been sacked for sure in December 2020 had they not won the FA Cup in his...

    2023/24 - The Race For..................

If we end up in the Europa because we weren't good enough for CL then so be it, but let's not pretend that it's better for the club if we don't qualify for the CL. EL is much harder to win than people think. Too many of our fan base seem to expect that we'd be one of the favourites if we only...

    Manager Watch: Ange Postecoglou

Am loving the fact that we never appear to be beaten until the final whistle is blown. Tottenham teams of the past have been known for dropping their heads when we go behind and struggling to find a way back into games, how many points this year is it from losing positions now? The flipside of...

Player Watch Player Watch: Oliver Skipp

In an ideal world - sure I'd keep him as backup. But at 23 years old he surely can't stick around forever at a club where he'll be 4th/5th choice...

Player Watch Player Watch: Oliver Skipp

Saw this again on Twitter earlier today: He's obviously fallen behind Bentancur, Bissouma and Sarr for when everyone is fit - but as a homegrown rotation player he's got a role left to play this season. That being said I think we can all agree that without a strong second half then there's a...

Player Watch Player Watch: Rodrigo Bentancur

Only selection dilemma as far as I'm concerned is who we play alongside Bentancur. Cannot wait to see him and Maddison in the same midfield.

    Arsenal

Start from the last few posts on this page - they are starting to realise their star boy might not actually be as good as they hyped him up to be - https://arsenal-mania.com/forum/threads/bukayo-saka-saka-the-net.35203/page-317 Not like Arsenal fans to overhype a youngster. That has never...

Player Watch Player Watch: Giovani Lo Celso

Agree that he's better as a deep-lying playmaker as opposed to a real attacking type that some of us hoped he was going to be when he was signed to replace Eriksen. He's literally scored more PL goals in the last two games that he had done in the previous four years since signing for us! He...

Player Watch Player Watch: Brennan Johnson

If a top class technical winger became available, have I seen enough from him to say that he's not upgradable? Not just yet. But what I like about him is that he seems to be delivering end product - he's getting into the right positions and creating chances at crucial moments of games which is...

    Manager Watch: Ange Postecoglou

With the injuries we've got - if we'd sat back and played 10 men behind the ball, do you think we'd get any points and score 3? I know Conte did it but only with one of the best forwards in Premier League history having arguably the best game of his career so I think it's unlikely. High risk...

Match Threads Spurs vs Man City - Day 14

It's one thing if we're getting caught out with a high line or from overly aggressive pressing but we've been giving the ball away carelessly which we're getting punished for. Emerson is having a mare and Bissouma was badly ball watching for the second goal instead of tracking his runner. We...

Player Watch Player Watch: Rodrigo Bentancur

Gutted to see him go off. He looked as good as ever in the first 25 minutes and without Maddison we could really have done with him getting an extended run in the side. At least it isn't a recurrance of the knee injury but suspect he'll be out for a few weeks at a minimum which given our...

    Match Ratings Ratings vs Villa

Can't think of many games we've played better than that in where we've lost. Don't think anyone was particularly bad but we've come away with nothing. Bentancur was the best player on the pitch before he went off. What a fucking player he is. Kulusevski very involved and worked his arse off...

    Harry Kane

Has scored more than Lewandowski did in his first season with Bayern already. It's November.

The sort of player who you only appreciate how much better he made the team when he isn't there. Same with Carrick

    Manager Watch: Ange Postecoglou

Likelihood is we'll drop points again this weekend but I do think he'll hype up the reserve players and it'll be an entertaining game. Which is more than I can say for Mourinho and Conte who would likely be moaning all the way through their press conference and then complain how they couldn't...

Your 1 favourite Spurs Player of all Time

Never as consistent as some of the other PL legends I'd agree, but not sure I can think of too many players that had such a big aura about them. What he definitely was though was a big moments player, seem to remember him scoring winning goals in something like 6 successive games in one title...

    Unsung Tottenham hero players

"old" is the key word in that sentence - we also had Sheringham, Ferdinand and Poyet in attack together at the same time. If we'd had that squad when they were five years younger we'd have had a bloody good side.

    Unsung Tottenham hero players

Loved Assou-Ekotto. Was seen as a bit of a joke amongst rival fans but he was a decent left-back both going forward and in defence, scored some cracking goals for us and a top character who openly hated football. Legend. Realised I could have just described Danny Rose as well.
