I could be wrong, but I don’t think the yellow wouldn’t count. Same thing happened to Bissouma away to Luton when he dived IIRC.
He was 1 yellow away from a ban. Got booked, but then yellow got upgraded to a red after second booking. He then missed one game. He then got booked a few games...
Not every team is as poor at defending set pieces as us!
Think you are underestimating Leverkusen and overestimating West Ham.
I do expect it to be close though.
I’ve been flicking around the games, but from the little bit that I saw Villa look to be playing very passive. They were allowing Ajax to have possession without much pressing at all.
Time will tell whether they’ve actually learnt anything. They looked nailed on last season even into April and we all know how that ended.
I agree with A&C that Liverpool look unconvincing, especially with all their injuries. But they keep limping over the line in games perhaps due to Klopp...
Hi all,
I have a mate who I work with from India who is in London on the weekend 16-17 March. He’s a massive football fan (Man Utd unfortunately) but would love to see any EPL game.
London is only option realistically.
Chelsea vs Arsenal seems to have been moved. Leaving only Fulham vs Spurs...
I think it helps the casual viewer as no explanation is required. But as others have said above, I think it makes things less exciting.
All change again next season with the table format. Who knows what shite they’ve got up their sleeve next…
The Gallagher celebration should have been a yellow for sure. He tried to jump onto the advertising hoardings but it seemed too flimsy.
At the same time it caused a surge and the fans all bundled over and the hoardings collapsed. Could have lead to some injuries.
It was a tough game for him to return for. City are a different animal.
Hopefully he should find more joy in easier games to come. Maybe 30 mins against Brentford and 60-70 mins against Everton.
