What Our Opponents' Fans Are Saying About Us 23/24

Hmm, interesting. Personally I’ve never called the co-commentator a pundit, to me a pundit is studio or pitch side only.

Sin-bin trial plan recommended for professional games

If the aim is to actually deter/stop cynical fouls and dissent in order to make the game better why not just make them red cards?

Let's All Laugh At... Let's all laugh at Chelsea thread

I agree, that doesn’t sound right that it wouldn’t appear on the books. It would be a very clear FFP workaround and release clauses would be triggered left, right and centre.

Player Watch Player Watch: Son Heung-min

I don’t know about that. Kim Min-Jae and Lee Kang-in are crucial players for Bayern and PSG respectively.

    Unsung Tottenham hero players

Not quite an unsung hero but Rebrov was not a total flop and was actually quite handy under Graham. Hoddle just didn’t really use him. Mido is also sometimes considered a flop but was very good initially. After he signed permanently he didn’t seem fit and then Berbatov signed so it was never...

Player Watch Player Watch: Son Heung-min

Maybe things have changed but when I went to Seoul in 2017 there was K-pop and baseball everywhere but very little football/Son stuff at all, which was a shame.

    The England Thread

It would be interesting to know if the wording of the minute’s silence was drafted by the FA or UEFA. It was very naive to think the crowd would be fine with it, and it’s shame because a more general statement would’ve led to a well observed silence.

Pedro weighs more than Destiny though so I don’t think that argument helps you.

    Harry Kane

It's become a bit of a meme that Bayern had a swastika in their logo but from what I gather they were forced to and the culture of the club was actually very much opposed to Nazi beliefs.

    Harry Kane

The boots he trained in were definitely blacked out, but i’m pretty sure they are Nike and not Adidas. The high res pics on Getty show the same Nike hypervenom soleplate he was wearing last season. Maybe his deal has expired but they could also be prototypes, which would also explain them being...

    Harry Kane

I think the suggestion is if he signs with Adidas they would want/incentivise a move to Bayern, who are close to Adidas. There’s no guarantee it’s Adidas though, Puma for example have been throwing a lot of money at top players.

    Dele Alli at Everton

I don’t think that’s right. He scored 10 goals with Alli on his shirt and 57 with Dele.

Yes, fans are obsessed with Arsenal because they are Arsenal but they are also the club that are a barometer of what we should be spending based on revenues, success in recent seasons etc.

    Trial of new offside rule

So you can be two yards ahead but leave your leg back to stay onside? I don’t see how that’s better than what we have. Logically something like centre of gravity or hip position should be the determining factor.

If we’re in the market for a direct wing forward and we’re in talks with Leverkusen for Tapsoba I’d be surprised if we hadn’t inquired about Moussa Diaby. I think he’d be too expensive though.

Only at the last World Cup, otherwise it’s 30 seconds added per goal or substitution window. I also think taking the ball to the centre circle when you’ve pulled back a three goal lead gives you a psychological advantage as it shows you believe the momentum is with you. It gave Liverpool a...
