    Conor Gallagher

Gallagher is good. I like Phillips too, but logic of Gallagher is he can play as a more forward thinking player, he could even play the 10. He is a great example of a more naturally attacking midfielder kinda held back because of his ability to take up multiple roles.

That's just not true. In 2021/2022 we were listed as the club that produced the 3rd highest number or players playing in the English professional leagues...

The thing is you might as well make that statement for all our youth options. It's highly unlikely any of them will make it but that's hardly worth saying. Scarlett has a decent chance still. He can still learn from this experience too and is one of the more likely prospects to make it.

Player Watch Player Watch: Cristian Romero

In fact Cash's tackle was much less worse and probably not a red, despite the outcome. Cash went in with speed but unlike Romero, studs did not make contact with the opposition player. It is the studs and potential avoidability (not intention) of making contact with studs that meant he risked...

    Intentionality is irrelevant.

The reverse is true. Before VAR and 'let the game flow' directives that would be a red. We have seen more tackles of the orange/red variety been ignored since VAR. Primarily because refs know VAR will pick up on it. In fact in the late 2000s simply having both feet off the ground would be a red...

Lots of kids at that level dribble well. Not necessarily a sign that they will make it to the top. His decision making and even shooting hardly flatters him in this video either. We will see. Good luck to him.

    Harry Kane

And Napoli lost a whole host of key players last summer and came out of it with the league title. There is a way to do it, does take a fair bit of luck but it can be done.

    Harry Kane

Bayern getting close to an offer that could be worth considering tbh. I would rather he stay of course, but there are some positives of selling him this season to a team outside of the PL. Now, when it comes to replacing him we need to be careful. Reality we shouldn't be trying to replace him...

He really didnt fit in for some reason did he. Obviously the quality we had in those positions didn't help and probably wasn't given the time to settle. Anyway on Solomon my reaction is "meh" we need an extra player in those positions. He is a decent impact player from what I've seen with a lot...

Postecoglou urging Levy to sign Palhinha

Stats help inform opinions but they don't give a full picture. He is effective on the ball just not very fancy, he is positionally sound in transition and he is brilliant in the air. But mostly his intensity and press is impressive. There is a reason Fulham are demanding so much. There is a...

Postecoglou urging Levy to sign Palhinha

For me he is the best midfielder outside the top 7. Rate him super highly major reason why Fulham did so well last season. Super aggressive but also much much more than that.

    Player Watch: Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

I dont know the context you are referring to but this is actually a very common pattern of play for a holding midfielder. You put yourself infront of the opposition line to essentially move defenders about and create spaces else where. In this case this flanks, while also also possibly becoming...

What I do know is he likes the u21s to play in the same style as the first team but not in the u18s where he thinks players need freedom and learn different systems, tactics positions etc. He regularly invites younger players to first team training and the main thing he seeks is to see young...

I mean he's written a book and Im very tempted to get a copy. and he has done many interviews talking about his style and stuff. So we actually can know quite a lot. Formation is ways one of the least important things. But we know he will play a high line. We will build from the back, we will...

    Player Watch: Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

In maybe 2-3 years. Lavia was impressive at the begining of the campaign and has all the attributes and people are rightfully after him, but take away his initial performances and it's a mixed bag. Phenomenal for a 19 year old though. I also think he could develop in a higher role. It's like the...

I don't think ange will play more than one holder. I also don't think we will play 4-2-3-1 as our go to. Maybe we will play it on occasion when bentacur is injured as we lack clear number 8s. Though reckon Bissouma could play in that position Also. I personally do not see Sarr as a holding...

If we were in europe yes. But our CMs are: Skipp, Sarr, Bentancur, Maddison, Bissouma and quite possibly Deki too. And this is not including Lo Celso (will certainly go I imagine, though I think he could actually do a job) and Ndombele (who might stay but am unsure he could actually do a job)...

    Harry Winks - Leicester City

I think it's unlikely to actually happen not yet. Winks will have suitors in Serie A and Lorient are also interested. Obviously money will talk but I suspect Winks will keep his options open for now.
