    Player Watch: Tanguy Ndombele

I honestly don't think it'll be that difficult to sort out. Improving our attacking options, sorting the midfield and getting us attacking and defending as a team, will see huge improvements in defence. Of course a couple of new defenders wouldn't hurt either.

    Player Watch: Tanguy Ndombele

Apart from everything else discussed in this thread, a settled starting XI and a specific position/job for NDombele will be crucial for his success. Not sure if that will be in a midfield 3 or a 2, or even as a number 10, but I hope Mourinho has something up his sleeve. If we can get Tanguy...

Almost looks like a monitoring box or something like that.

    Player Watch: Harry Kane

Agreed. I see this restarted season as a bit of a freebie; we were never ever going to finish in the top 6 before the season was halted, so anything that happens now is all good, either way!

    The Transfer Wishlist Thread

Loan some out? If so, I agree. Would give us time to sell the players we want to sell. EDIT Even buying young players and loaning them back for 24 months could work for us (and their clubs).

    The Transfer Wishlist Thread

With the unusual situation that the footballing world finds itself in, there's an unparalleled opportunity for us to bring in the best young talent from the lower leagues, at seriously discounted prices. Personally, I think we should fully embrace this. If we're strapped for cash then we...

    The Transfer Wishlist Thread

I think most of us wouldn't mind Lamela out and homegrown Eze in. And I'm a bit of a Lamela fanboy fwiw

    Club Statement - Pochettino leaves

Got to agree with you that there was no other partnership to field. That said, Poch was after De Jong and couldn't get him...but didn't seem to have an alternative in the whole of world football.

    Club Statement - Pochettino leaves

Yeah, I totally forgot about the distracting nonsense Poch was coming out with a few weeks before the final. Not good.

    Club Statement - Pochettino leaves

I love Poch and he did an absolutely fantastic job for us, but he needs to change his attitude towards winning trophies. Firstly, don't make excuses about not winning trophies due to lack of investment. Even if it's true (much of the time it is), you're creating a ready made excuse, or mental...

    Player Watch: Harry Kane

Top 5 could be enough for CL football next season. Plus we still have to play Arsenal, Utd and Sheffield United. Plus Utd look like they're going to lose Ighalo for the run in. All to play for tbh.

    The Transfer Wishlist Thread

Always difficult to tell whether he would keep up with the pace of the Premier League. But for 12m quid, he's certainly worth the gamble. I'd be more than happy to take an older veteran on a free and this guy for the long term.

Premier League officially postponed until 17th of June

Can you imagine the scenes if Liverpool (who need 5 or 6 points to win the league) had a total collapse in their last 9 games and Man City pipped them at the post. On the one hand Liverpool fans get what they want (season being finished), but on the other hand it won't be the same conditions...

Featured Which is fairer? Coronavirus implications

I wonder if the players would even play behind closed doors, if there's an increased (albeit small) chance of catching the virus. After all, we don't know what the medium to long term effects if it are.

Featured Which is fairer? Coronavirus implications

It was even weirder than that. John Terry, Chelsea captain as we all know, was accused of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand. The FA told then England manager Capello that he wasn't allowed to play Terry in upcoming games, so Capello walked. And that started the speculation as to who would be the...

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - Groundhog Day you say? Groundhog Day you say?

Agree with pretty much all of that, although I wouldn't call Dele a leader tbh. I also think that our fans have completely underestimated the negative effect of fielding no strikers, has had on us. We're playing elite-level football with no recognised strikers. Let that sink in. That's...

    COUTINHO

Weren't we negotiating for Dybala as well, at the time? If it came to the crunch and Levy said to Poch we can get Coutinho, but won't get Dybala, Poch may well have said I'll take my chances on pursuing Dybala because he's my first choice. Unfortunately, all parties concerned couldn't get the...

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - Groundhog Day you say? Groundhog Day you say?

Probably a back-up GK, CB, RB, LB, DMF, MF, AMF and ST Would give us a very good shot at the title. That said, if we only wanted to get into the Top 4 again consistently, then 3 signings would do it imho. But 8 signings, each improving on what we've already got, is seriously unrealistic...

    Player Watch: Harry Kane

Kane's ambition makes him a player who will give 100% in order to win, which helps Spurs win games. But Kane's ambition makes him a player who may ultimately leave Spurs to win things. Can't really have one without the other. Good players tend to be ambitious.
