It’s a good analogy. But it also means that if you bring in the right chef, the ingredients are there to work with
I think the potential in the squad is significant. But he’s not the right guy
It's not the players he's picking or not - he's just not a very good coach.
We've had 18 months, and I've seen absolutely no development or improvement whatsoever
Honestly, I like the guy, but he is well out of his depth.
Salah has played the same number of games (more or less) than Deki...
I’m not sure that is the problem. Are they obviously worse than Curtis Jones for instance, who is now part of an exceptionally functioning unit?
Gravenberch was pointless last year - looks incredible this year.
There are good players in our squad. My issue with Ange is he doesn’t seem to get...
I’d be surprised if the minutes played of our team last night was materially more than Liverpool’s
Fatigue is a thing, of course, but I think our issue is way more training and tactics
That performance last night was genuinely awful. As bad as I can remember
Totally agree. I’m just sitting here, wondering how a capable group of players can look so truly awful.
What has added to this group? I respect that he’s brought through some kids.
But other than that, it’s a shambles. Embarrassing
Spence and the teenagers come out with some credit. Danso did fine.
But honestly, that was about as bad as it gets. That was absolutely pathetic. There’s no way that group of players is that collectively shit.
In a season of absolute humiliation, that was actually an embarrassing low...
Absolutely pathetic performance, this
Their movement is so much more intelligent than ours. That’s just training.
Really unimpressed with how this team is developing
I don’t think it’s just quality. They’re organised, well trained and solid. Slot is getting the most out of players who previously didn’t look all that.
They’ve got a really good manager. Not convinced about ours frankly
Usual stuff
Son is bad. The midfield hasn’t worked for a massive majority of the season.
They’re a good side but I can’t help thinking Ange isn’t getting the most out of the players
I guess it depends what you mean by come good
I can't comment on Melia, but...
Lankshear: possibly a prem striker in time, though I'd be surprised if he ended up as a really top class one
Veliz: I don't really see it, personally. Toss of a coin if he ends up as a prem quality striker, but my...
Holy smokes - fair point
As much as there are some good players there, we should be trimming that
I guess there are club trained things we need to consider, but I would guess new homes could be found for any of the following (and I'm deliberately being harsh):
Austin
Whiteman
Keely
Craig...
So I in part agree with that what you're saying, but if I was going to be tough on the squad:
- Odobert looks better on the left, and should likely stick to that
- Moore, to me, looks more like a 10 longer term...and for now can float between the 3 positions, which is fine for a 17/18 year old
-...
