I wonder if there's a way that Ange can remain at the club but in another capacity. He speaks so eloquently and is so passionate about succeeding, but as a manager I cannot see the club persisting with him for another season after this one.
He could have chosen not to pick Son and he could have chosen not to pick Bissouma last night. Two players who have already shown that they are not up to a battle against a top side.
The choice was pretty obvious IMO, but Ange clearly didn't want to have that conversation with Sonny.
And of...
Spot on. Suits a certain type of game and night wasn't it. Once the dust (finally) settles on this injury nightmare, I see him as a good squad option but not a player you'd want starting big matches. At the moment.
Yup. Players are running on fumes. Not enough was done in Jan nor was it done early enough.
But Ange has picked the wrong players as leaders and made his changes way too late again last night. It was pretty obvious at half time we were lucky for it to only be 1-0 and he should've tried to...
We needed at least 4 or 5 outfield players in January and most of those were needed right at the start of the window.
We got two and on the last day.
And there, everyone, is your problem.
Full of mistakes.
Attitude is all wrong.
Never seen him control a game in a Spurs shirt.
A shadow of the players signed from Brighton.
Sell in the summer.
The wait for him to continuously come back from injury just isn't worth it. It's not like we are waiting for a prolific goal scorer to come back. He needs 3 chances to score 1.
Needs to be sold and replaced in the summer.
Reckon if you put those two things side by side it starts to make more sense.
Mr Levy doesn’t throw around £70m bids for defenders on deadline day without a desperate need. It makes more sense now if this rumour about Mickey is true.
I'm honestly not that fussed. 😀
He's injury prone, has wreckless brain fart moments, his form dips when international come along.
I won't lose any sleep if he wants to go, personally.
Not that I'm party to using this thread to comment on transfers, but I too am not able to contribute to that TR forum. I've been banned from there now for over 3 years. Which seems excessive to me.
I would genuinely love to hear from anyone that does still support Levy and ENIC. To be constructive about it, not to argue.
It seems to me that most people's eyes have been opened after this months failings to act and I'd be surprised if there are many left that do not feel like the football...
I liked him too. But it was absolutely the right call to move him on.
The issue in hindsight is that he needed to be replaced with another ready-to-go, PL experienced midfielder who would have massively helped us over the last month.
But Hojbjerg was not suited to this system and made more...
I just don't go any more. It's too expensive and I can't justify it, just to watch a game of football.
Having said that I'm going on Sunday because I've been offered a free ticket in a box with all the bells and whistles.
Got a great attitude and has been one of the core players who have kept on going. But he’s defensively weak and should be replaced by a better all round player in Spence.
When we concede it’s usually due to him being out of position. As an opponent, that ball is pretty much always on.
I agree. And although my take has also always been to wait until the end of the season before the club make a decision on the manager, I'm not really sure it makes any difference who the manager is when you have owners like this.
It's ok to be any combination of Ange Out or In and also ENIC out or In at the same time.
For me personally, I would have preferred to get to the end of the season before changing the manager. ENIC need to be kept on the hook to show up their failings (which is what we are seeing happen now)...
A lot of us have been saying this for a long time now - the culture at the club is all wrong and has been for ages and it's why we are failing. That culture comes from the top down. ENIC and Levy in particular have proven over their tenure that they have failed on the footballing side. The club...
