100%. Totally different game if we gone in to halftime at 1 each. It could have gone either way. These lads just don't seem to have any understanding of decision making and positioning needed to match game state. And we are talking about the more experienced ones! Glad you mentioned Porro as he...
No need for that. We can all see the team looks bad now but I believe with a few more first teamers back and one or two more signings in this window it will get better. The potential is clearly there as we are seeing with Spence, Gray, Bergvall, Solanke, Kulu. Just need a bit more around it...
Wrong focus. The manager needs help in this window and fast! Keep the faith. I have the feeling we will have a stronger finish and win a cup this year. COYS!
2nd leg at Anfield is potentially season and career defining for Ange so this must be the highest priority. Fingers crossed we get a bunch of players by then and a stronger squad post the window closing to go there and really take it to Liverpool. A date at Wembley would really lift the mood...
You are right however yesterday was an altogether new low in my book. It could be understandable that a low in confidence Werner and Johnson might struggle against top tier opposition so yesterday was an opportunity for both of them to step up and show some personal responsibility, intent and...
Can't agree, I mean this was a non league side for goodnesss sake and we have some players especially in the front 3 cruising their way through. I am glad he left most of them out there for as long as possible to try and dig themselves out of it and not quite true he did nothing as he did bring...
Perhaps that was Ange's plan to get the younger players minutes once the game was secure which if the front three played properly it should have been given the gulf in class. Unfortunately the likes of Werner and Johnson were so passive and lacking hunger and intent that it turned into a...
Not really. He's played there before and allows us to give Solanke a much needed rest. Also the hope would have been that he could fill his boots and get some goals against lower tier opposition to boost his fragile confidence. Unfortunately not looking that way so far...
I doubt that. Apart from the horrendous injury situation which should hopefully start to ease soon, the main issue right now is that we have gaps in key positions that are making the system look bad, particularly on the wings. Son can't consistently press, Brennan is playing within himself...
If he can maintain his debut level, he is a class above Vicario in my opinion. The scary thing is to have delivered that on his debut, off the back of just a couple of training sessions means there is even more to come as he gets to know the system and his team mates better!!
He is a better fit for Ange's style of football attributes wise. He will either inspire Vic to up his game or break him. Outcome will likely be similar to what panned out with Arsenal.
