Another boring season with max winning his second title so early in the year. God I hope two or three teams can genuinely challenge for races next season.
Jimmy will definitely come back, and it would have to be for Robinson. Personally, I'd also be bringing Foakes in for Bairstow (I know it won't happen). I love Johnny, but the fact is that he's not on form with either the bat or the gloves post-injury, and he needs more time to come back...
I wouldn’t actually be that bothered if we don’t add loads over the summer, as long as we focus entirely on one world class centre back, and a brilliant play making midfielder. Shift as much of the dead wood as possible, and bring in a manager with vision, and I think we could be a great team...
I know there was lots that went on behind the scenes last time he was here, that seems to be the reason we’ve not gone for him, but I think we’re going to massively regret this. Hope I’m wrong.
Tottenham's 'DNA' under Daniel Levy has always been to predominantly sign younger players with massive potential at drastically reduced prices. I'm very happy with this approach as a supplement to buying a few established, proven players (that inevitably cost more), but not instead of it.
This...
It’s just unacceptable to lose this game. After a piss poor season, we genuinely have a chance to sneak top 4 with wins against average teams. I can’t bare the thought of us messing it all up now against Leeds.
I'm sure it has been discussed higher up, but if Man City win the Champions League, it'll be top 5 that qualify for next year no? (Assuming Arsenal don't win the EL).
A top draw CB is vital, it would transform our team and the way we can play (more attack minded midfield)
CM with vision and good RB would then put us at the top level.
After that, I don't see the need for massive changes, unless particularly good options become available.
Eugh, that defence. The only way we look solid at the back is when we have three midfielders protecting them, with the obvious implications for our attacking play. Desperately need a new CB and RB.
PEH and Ndom played well.
Serge for sure.
I think we did play better, and that's because it is all relative to the game plan you are trying to implement. If we were trying for possession, high press football, then I'd say we were shit, because that didn't happen. The reality is, our plan was to sit deep and block, and...
Heart says yes, head says double yes. If he didn't have connections to the club, there's no way in hell we would be even slightly in the running for a player at his level. And why do people care about the financial implications? It's not like we go out and sign superstars on massive wages...
