Great to have competition in the fullback spots. Both original fullbacks have upped their game too. Davies has got 2 assists and won a penalty since reguilon came in after not getting an assist for over a year and Aurier plays like that when Doherty came in

Great to have proper depth (and pace) at full back again. One of the trademarks of our best spell under Poch.

I loved how annoyed he was late in the game when he gave the ball away. Great attitude. Really winning me over

Yeah I loved that also, slamming the ground with both hands. You just know that Mourinho emphasised how important it was to not be stupid with the ball and keep it as best as possible but it's good to just seem him expect more of himself.

It's really strange as I was more than happy for him to go admittedly, but now I feel like having him as an option as well as Doherty makes our squad look quite a bit stronger, and of course with Davies with Reguilon on the other side. I like how there's a nice balance between the full backs too, like that you can have a different reason for wanting to select each one of them.

How people can be blinded by this guy having a few decent matches vs europa league fodder and see him.as our best rb lol. This guy cant cross for anything how many times he got into good positions last year and 9/10 failed to beat the first man when it got blocked. He has far too many mistakes in him gives away stupid pens and is the reason alomg with davies why we have regressed. No other team in the top 6 has a worse pairing them aurier n davies. We need rid of him to raise funds for other targets
This is just a load a rubbish in my opinion. Even without taking the last two games in account, this is just not true. Yes he started dodgy when he first joined with a few brain farts including his comedy throw ins. But can you hand on heart say he is always giving away penalties since he has settled down? You are not alone but lots of you berate him and seem to concentrate on criticising for any mistake, miss pass or miss tackle instead of focusing on what he does do well like tracking back and even covering our full backs when they have their own brain farts (but is never mentioned). He actually does alot more positively but you would never see as you are in that mindset of not liking him, so your eyes will see what they want to see. Aurier might no be the best RB in the PL but he is far, much far better than others. So you are the one that are blinded, to use your own words.
If he wants to leave then fair enough and maybe we won't have a better time to cash in but he was fantastic today and probably doubled the fee :D
Where does it say he wants to leave? The way I understand it he wants to stay with us, but its the management that want to sell for financial reasons. He did turned down two clubs including Inter-Milan

Last season he said he wanted to leave, It was an interview somehwere, I didn't know if he was still wanting to go and experience something else still or whether he wanted to stay this time round. Either way he seems like no matter what he wants he's always going to give 100%

I’ve not been Aurier’s biggest fan, but he was very, very good against Man U. Glad he’s staying and I think the competition with Doherty will make them both better!

Aurier and Sanchez both making brain fart mistakes that cost us the game. Hugely crushed right now. Not fair to pin exclusively on either of them. Tough moment ugh

Overall don't think he was dreadful today. Problem is, even though he can be having what appears to be a decent game, he is always likely to switch off/ make a poor decision that'll end up costing us a goal. Silly fouls in dangerous areas is nothing new with him and unlikely to be coached put of him. It doesn't even surprise me now when it happens to be honest.

He seemed to go to shit as soon as bale came on. Like an excited child. He completely lost any sense of professionalism from that moment. I didn’t think the free kick that led to the third goal was one but Aurier does seem to give those type of ones away a lot.

Thought he had a good game. His crossing and discipline has improved massively. Son should’ve scored from a low cross he put in.

The “foul” he made for the free kick which led to their third goal was never a foul. Ridiculous decision.

We could argue the toss but either way he gives the ball away in a dangerous position.

Mind you, Bale recklessly have the ball away a few seconds earlier too trying to do too much.

Thats a coincidence an unfit Bale comes onto the pitch, West ham throwing players forward and no protection for Aurier.

Not sure I agree with his discipline has improved, cos even tho I agree it was never a foul at the end, why oh why did he have to make the challenge to give the ref an opportunity to make a decision, he should have just stood his ground.
Sissoko is another one who can’t resist diving in & also gives away too many fouls in dangerous positions.

The problem is he generally plays decent but has too many moments during the game where he is a liability. Sometimes he gets away with it. Today he didn't.

We can't carry players like that if we want to be challenging for titles.

He had won the ball though and then was looking around taking his sweet time, totally oblivious that the player he has just won the ball from was obviously still right over his shoulder and he didn't have that fucking time! That's how he lost the ball/ conceded the foul. He has fucking custard for brains. The third goal WAS Aurier's fault. And a little bit of Winks's and Lloris's to follow - but he started it.
you just know Aurier will do this to you.

Really wouldn't mind if we took Aurier out for the last 20 minutes of matches, guy has great stamina but his tendency to foul is a killer one

Honestly, anyone blaming Aurier for that third goal need to park their agendas. It was as far from a foul as anything. The West Ham player conned the referee. We can debate the blame of other players like Sissoko, Sanchez and Winks and people will have differing opinions on those players but Aurier had a good game and did not make a mistake, it’s not even debatable.
