Possibly, although I'm not gonna totally blame dropping points on our lack of midfield but it sure contributed to it.

Any other time Lo Celso plays with or replaces Ndombele

Definitely. Like I said before even if we subbed on a 16 year old youth product in midfield we should've seen the game out, but the substitution let them have control of the game.

So far this season we've let in 13 goals. At Chelsea his team let in 15 all year. That's the Jose I hope to see. And no, it wasn't a world class defence, it had Glen Johnson, William Gallas, Ricardo Carvalho and Wayne Bridge. It was brilliant, brilliant management.
His defence that let in 15 goals was : Cech, Ferreira, Terry, Carvalho, Gallas and with Makelele one of the greatest DM’s of all time in front of them. I’d argue all of those Chelsea players are better than our best back 4 and goalie currently.

Our defending needs to improve but get your facts right ;)

We have massively improved our squad but we still have some glaring weaknesses, namely at centre back and centre midfield.

I'm not going to call out any particular players as we all know who they are but it's especially frustrating as you get the impression that this season could be wide open.

Would be hard to take if we see a repeat of the Leicester title winning season when we once again look back at what could have been.

On a positive note, if we add at least one top quality centre back and one or two quality central midfielders we will take some stopping.

He's going to have to get the blame cause that's the position he is in. Woeful to give the game away from 3 up.

Not making this Pochettino vs Mourinho because we have suffered results like this so many times before but I thought we had eradicated these types of performances under Poch, why have they crept back in?

They’ve Crept in because Toby and Jan got old and Poch spunked £38m on a CB that we wouldn’t get £20m for now and that’s what Jose’s got to work with.

I think it was rammed down their throats at half time to keep a clean sheet...we need a clean sheet and that is why we sat back too much and the reaction to conceding the first was over the top rather then come on lads let's calm it down.

Also moving Hjòbjerg out of the centre was bizarre..nearly as bad as the subsistution of Dele in the first match.

We've already missed out on an FA Cup, a Champions League, and likely now a Premier League. It's been 11 months and he's had big investment. I'd be more willing to reserve judgement if it was going forwards rather than backwards.

You are so obviously trolling. Give it a fucking rest.

His preference for managing games doesn’t work with this group of players. We’re too full of mistakes to see out a lead, even a three goal lead. Was true against West Ham and Bournemouth last season, was true in the first half against Maccabi Haifa where we conceded a shocking number of good chances (thankfully there we went on to get more goals), and was true again today.

We don’t see out games professionally. Rather, we go to sleep, concede from set pieces or individual mistakes, then fall to pieces because we can’t flip the switch and start playing again.

Don’t know what the answer is because Jose will always want to manage the game but we’re fucking dogshit at it. For the time being I think we can’t ever stop playing because even three goal leads are not sufficient to prevent our defenders such as Sanchez and Aurier from shitting the bed and costing us.

You do know the transfer window is shut? We cant add anymore players. Also be amazed if we sign anyone in the January transfer window. Traditionally we are very quiet in that window.

Jose has improved the squad and the players bought in have been fantastic but we are still short at least one centre back and we need another central engine room midfielder (although Skipp will be back next summer and provide another good option with season of experience at noreach).

Just goes to show how bad the squad had become, we‘ve probably had best summer of recruitment and still our squad is lacking at centre back and central midfield.

Hard to say today of case of Jose being a bit too negative and telling us to sit back after going 3-0 up, or fact west ham are annoying gnats that only purpose is to annoy us.

Definitely need a centre back urgently and probably another and just sell Sanchez and Toby, enough is enough with those two.

This is why i posted somewhere else if Tanganga gets fit and IF he is able to hit form again like he showed early performances last season he could end up alongside Rosen as anything gotta be better than Sanchez and Toby.

If we've replaced half our squad and the other half are so totally shit that they can solely give up a 3 goal lead against West Ham, the bloke that took them to the Top 4 four years running and made a CL final must be a real miracle worker.

It's all excuses. They're not world class. They're not that bad either. They're serviceable.

Honestly the only question you can ask is could he have brought Davies on instead of Lucas or Bale to make us more solid. But let's be honest we were 3 nil up at 82 minutes. Of course Jose should rest our key players when winning comfortably.

The problem is we have too many players with errors and lapses in concentration in the squad, there is always a risk but you would think a 3 goal cushion is enough.

Unfortunately it wasn't, we have a lethal forward line and some real talent elsewhere (Tanguy, Gio, Sergio, Hugo & PEH) Jose needs to eradicate the mistakes other players make.

Result is a bitter pill to swallow, but I believe we will be a better team as a result moving forward. Season is wide open and these dropped points are not helpful at all but it is not really on Jose today for me.

If certain individuals are still involved moving forward though, then it is all on Jose.

Note how in his post match press conference we now need 4 goals to kill the game. The figure of goals we need to kill the game seems to be rising. He must really not rate our defence

Three terrible substitutions. They were growing in confidence and our changes did nothing to shut the game down.

Obviously Jose could have done things different and we probably would have managed to get the win considering the events that happened feel like 1 in a million chance of it all happening but fuck me, any1 going at Jose after this is a fucking moron. We played brilliant attacking football. We had chances to kill the game, he can't be held responsible for players making absolute basic errors at a point in the game where he literally can't affect it.

Mate he's an emotional wreck, no point engaging with him when we have a setback, I learnt that after the Newcastle match :D
I think that you’re right. It’s all a bit emotional after a game and objectivity is definitely lacking.

Yeah, obviously wasn't talking about this season. I think we can challenge for top 4 this season but anything else is likely to be beyond us.

Next season could be a different story but obviously will depend on hanging on to Kane and Son

Objective truth is that with the VVD news especially we're 1% away from a title challenge. I hope he can get us there but it's frustrating to see the same fuckups so consistently.
