I said to the wife (United fan) at 3-0 we need another, and was told to wise up..... Now she understands. That Bale miss will haunt me ffs.
We upgraded them but never took the options away from the manager.
I thought Ndombele was great and Hojbjerg was fine in the first half. We never really had full control, though, and I think we need Lo Celso in for Sissoko for that to happen.honestly, the midfield was crap most of the game. even our goals were fast break rather than sustained pressure.
I think a mixture of Sanchez, Bale not finishing and losing control of the midfield cost us mate.
Winks is a defensive nightmare, he hasn’t got a clue how to defend, Roy Keane said against Utd last season he just doesn’t see any danger, to play the ball across the area and not put your foot through the ball is ridiculous. Why didn’t winks just smash the ball the pitch up?!
Potential title challengers don't include players like Winks in the match day sqaud, let alone bringing him into the game. I'm done with him.Winks comes on and we lose control of the midfield.
Coincidence?
He has no place at this level as far as I'm concerned.
That said, we came off the gas when we should have buried them before he came on.
Potential title challengers just don't do that.
That result was dreadful, 82 minutes played and 3 up. Its honestly unacceptable.
Jose needs to really make some big calls after this result. Certain players need to be dropped. We should have put the game to bed, but to concede like that is dreadful.
Whilst the subs killed of momentum at 3-0 up you cannot blame Jose for wanting to rest Tanguy and Son.
winks sissoko sanchez aurier not good enough for a top-4 sidemidfield lost control after Winks came on for Ndombele, it actually reminded me of Everton again. Don’t think he can play alongside Sissoko.
Sanchez just doesn’t seem comfortable on the left side of the defense. Also those late Aurier fouls always kill me. Rough to watch.
He did and it was no foul all about the ref that.Geez some posters. It wasn’t Aurier’s personal fault that we couldn’t hold on to a comfy lead.
Aurier had once again a decent match.
