All premier league games?
Looking at the schedule for this weekend... United tonight, all the games tomorrow apart from ours which is on NBCSN but I have sky sports mobile so I’m ok with that. I think 2 games are on NBCSN and the rest are on Peacock every weekend by the looks of it. For about £4 a month though I’m fine with that. It starts with a 7 day trial so if it works well all week then I’ll keep it. Also has a TON of quality programs and films so I’m in.

It could be a system issue but I don't think Lampard has any idea on how to setup a defence, last season they got away with it but the signs were clear. They should have gone out and bought Lewis Dunk to at least get an organiser at the back, I'll never understand why they bought all those attackers.

I dont think he does either and thats why no matter how many defenders or keepers he gets, there will be issues. You can eradicate the mistakes through buying personnel but the other side is the system.

If I were Lampard id get a defensive coach. I would go NFL style I think and get a defensive coach in to see how it can work with Lampards attacking tactics.

We said that about Liverpool until they bought Van Dijk :D

even at 2-0 I always felt Southampton could get back into it. I mean lads it's Chelsea. Southampton were very good at boxing them in throughout the game. The fact that southampton played the most immobile CB paring in the Premier League against super mobile players like Werner, Pulisic and Havertz was a bit suicidal but guess they had no one better available to them.

And look at them this season and toward the end of last. They're struggling to find form in defence, Adrian or Allison in goal hasn't made a difference.

Well yeah but those 2.5 seasons prior to that their defense was transformed.

Looks a bit of a mess now though :sneaky:

That is very true and I knew someone was gonna bring that up.

I would also say that it seems that Chelsea when they give up chances, they tend to end up as goals. They're always punished.

Liverpool have always given up chances but never punished, I guess because they have an awesome keeper too.

I mean Chelsea definitely need a world leading CB and will help them a lot, but I think it does go a little deeper than that. Liverpool didn't just buy Van Dijk, they bought in a new goalkeepers and changed their style. Let's put it this way, how often in a Liverpool match before this season did you see the Liverpool defence exposed on one on ones etc? Rarely.

The same goes for us and our defensive problems last season. It wasn't just down to personnel it was something much deeper, it was only thanks to COVID and getting some time to actually address the issues did we start to look much better.

Thank you very much Southampton. For all the money Chelsea spent, they look clueless at the back and they went out the cup to our 2nd string.

Entertaining season so far though. Plenty of goals. Mourinho will be sensing an opportunity here.
