A swansea fan I know is really pissed off. He reckons he is easily worth the £18 + mill they were asking. I think they have had a really bad window all round.

Slightly biased in that I'm Welsh, but he's at least as good (if not better) than Godfrey who went for 25+m

Not sure haven't added it all up .
Difference with last year is of course covid, if Deloitte the accountants are right they estimated that a season in new stadium would bring in a matchday income of £100 million for Spurs , so that has all been lost can't see fans back this season way things are going. I am just surprised at the financial commitment Spurs have committed to , Daniel must have broken open his money box.
*cough* "the Consortium" *cough*

Big claim that. If he ends up half the player that Jan at his peak was then he’ll be a great signing.

The guy has potential for sure but that claim is embarrassing. Comparing him to one of the best defenders we've had over the past few decades.

Everyone needs to stop “overthinking” the mystery. We assessed him, we had a few concerns and they’ve been addressed to our satisfaction. I get why Trix is being cautious but it’s not some big scandal like is being suggested.
Thanks Rob.

All I'll say is it's just a case of protecting my source and the player himself.

No point over thinking this. We wouldn't have signed him if we thought he was going to be a problem down the line.

Levy touring around the UK this summer pulling pants down as he goes.

Roughly £40m for PEH, Doherty and Rodon combined. Ridiculous.

I've recently watched some more full mach comps/player focused matches/quickened matches, and it's difficult to find a direct comparison in the prem, I'd say Tarkowski is the most similar, and he's a very very good player. Maybe a bit better on the ball than Tarkowski. In Europe, Alessandro Bastoni is a good comp. Young Inter defender who replace Skriniar in the lineup. Confident, aware, and can distribute the ball well. Also a little bit of Edmond Tapsoba at Leverkusen, if anyone has seen him, in terms of his no nonsense defending, with a knack for winning the ball. Different level of competition, but I feel we're getting a good player (great at his level) with the potential to be great.

Our media team this window have knocked it out of the park.

Just brilliant.
Yeah there has to be a new admin / social media team. There’s no way our existing social media team suddenly became this brilliant. They deserve a bonus — excellent work this window.
