Lloris
Aurier Sanchez Dier Reggie
Lo Celso Hojbjerg Ndombele
Bale Kane Son
only question is who makes the bench so id go Hart, Tanganga (can cover all defensive positions), Vinicius, Sissoko and Lucas which is VERY tough on the likes of Toby, Dele, Winks, Doherty and Cocco.

Lloris, Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Lamela, Kane, Son

Hart, Toby, Doherty, Sissoko, Bale, Vinicius, Lucas

That's probably the strongest bench we have ever had.

every effing international break, all i can think of is how many of our players will come back injured or broken. Really hate it.

I'd expect Bale and Vinicius to be on the bench most probably, but imagine bringing those two on.

Bale to score from 30 yards in the 90th minute, and then runs into Jose's arms - its written in the stars :)

And I think Mourinho has to take a decision with our CDs soon. I don't mind rotating, but at the same time I think we need to decide on at least one of them that he is playing the big games - always. I have no idea who that is though.

He'd choose Dier imo

I don’t mind who starts really so long as we absolutely fucking pummel them. Need to keep this ruthless streak going.

A Bale cameo from the bench and to bang in a top bins worldy from 35 yds would also be acceptable.

Aurier has 1 good game and everyone wants him to start ?

Short memories, we just tried unsuccessfully to unload him

I wonder if Jose will agree. I think Doherty might start as we need to see a bit more of what Aurier produced against ManU till he overtakes Doherty in the pecking order.

I don't think we bought Doherty as a back up to Aurier.

Aurier has looked solid in all games he has played so far this season.

And even if it was only 1 that is still 1 more than Doherty.

Not that Doherty has been very poor - so that isn't meant as %%"% on Doherty. Right now Aurier looks like the better player. That can change as the season goes along.

It's also not fair as you can have 7 on the bench

I'm going rogue again, but this is how it is going to play out.

Lloris
Dier Alderweireld Sanchez
Doherty.........................Reguilon
Sissoko Hojbjerg
Ndombele
Kane Son

The score at half time will be 0-0 and we will switch to this after substituting Toby and bringing on Lo Celso.

Lloris
Doherty Dier Sanchez Reguilon
Hojbjerg Lo Celso
Sissoko Ndombele Son
Kane
At 60 mins it's still 0-0. You know the next sub and you know the final score. It's written in the stars...

For West Ham my choice would be:

Lloris

Doherty
Sanchez
Dier
Reggs

Hojbjerg
Lo Celso
Ndombele

Bale
Kane
Son

Subs (very hard): Hart, Toby, Davies, winks, dele, lamela, Vinny

Our squad depth is CRAZY! Think of the players not included in the above:
Gazzaniga, Aurier, Tanganga, sissoko, Bergwijn, Moura, and I’m probably forgetting some.

I don't think we bought Doherty as a back up to Aurier.

It's clear Jose is building a meritocracy inside Spurs. There's now competition for the spot and Aurier has earned it so far. At one point I'm sure Doherty was thought of as our main RB, but since Aurier stayed (and I'm glad he did) the spot is up for grabs for whoever wants it more.

This was the line up chosen by Jose in our last game against WHU

Lloris
Aurier Sanchez Dier Davies
Sissoko Dele Lo Celso
Lucas Harry Sonny

Think Jose will stick mostly with the Man U line up with possibly Lo Celso in for Tanguy , could change the full backs and also depends on how players come back from internationals.

The bench selection will be very interesting if both Gareth & Carlos are chosen as subs, Lucas out, Dele out ??

Think I would stick with the PEH / Sissoko partnership go back a few seasons we had Dembele / Wanyama in front of the back four it was our best defensive season in recent years.

Hart for Lloris, and losing 0-1 to a deflected header from a corner in injury time?

Think we have to establish our PL and EL squad when we go back. Keep players as fresh as possible.

Whilst certain players will be involved with both squads, I personally would like Kane, Son, Bale, Gio, Dier and Lloris used exclusively for the PL. Keep them fit and fresh.

Happy for wingback and midfield to be rotated as necessary for each game rather than set per competition.

With Gio and Tanguy it was a toss up on who I would keep fresh, I feel Tanguy will benefit more in the EL and building more fitness and confidence.

Will wait until closer to post the team.

As much as I would love to see him start I really would be amazed if Bale did. I would think he will get introduced slowly considering how little he has been involved with. At best he may start mid week in Europa which should be less intense. That being said I really wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even make the bench for West Ham and is still not quite ready for involvement.

A lot will depend on who travels for Internationals....Lo Celso not going away lifts the possibility he will be back but Mourinho doesn't need to rush him back. Aurier will probably shade Doherty atm. Toby and Dier as cb's especially if Sanchez travels to South America. Reg over Davies for me.
In CDM Holj will start possibly with Winks and NDombele. Feel that Kane and Son will lead the attack with Lamela given another chance if only for his bastard attitude. Bale on bench
.............Hugo
Aurier Toby Dier Sergio
...............Holj
Ndombele Winks
...........Lamela
.......Kane Son

Aurier was played well since lockdown

Start the same team as against Manchester United - no doubt about it.

Lo Celso to come back. Maybe Doherty. Bale and Vinicius in contention for the bench. Hard to drop the 11 that beat united, but our depth looks great assuming we get no injuries during the internationals. I am in agreement with most on here, our bench is strongest it had ever been.

Hope we take the game to West Ham and break them early.
